Congrats to DASA's own Jamie Anderson for a well earned win in the first Snooker 900 Scotland qualifier 🔵

The second event is being held this Saturday 12th September again at Bathgate Snooker Centre so if you're keen to enter please contact the organisers

Well done to Jamie Anderson won the first of the two Scottish 900 Qualifying events, after winning a tightly contested final on the deadlock blue against Amaan Iqbal.

Jamie now goes into the second and final event next Saturday in pole position to qualify for Reading. Entries for Event 2 close this Friday at 12 noon.

Here is the national calendar for the first half of the season...

The first of the main tour qualifiers in the North East will be held at the Tivoli Snooker Club as seen on GTA V on Sunday 4th October, 1045am registration for an 11am start. Fees for registration and table hire apply.

DASA members will no doubt be in attendance, competing as hard as ever 💪

Congrats to Neil Dargie who won the DASA Summer knockout competition on Saturday 🏆 defeating young Edward Dunning 4-1 in the final. The summer comp is an ideal way for players to keep their hand in while the league is on a break, so both players will be encouraged by their form as the new season kicks off.

Speaking of getting practice - did you know that we run a weekly competition? Held every Sunday, all players are welcome to enter, whether you are an existing league player or new to the club and itching for your competitive snooker fix.

Come along, join in, and get to meet some new faces while you test your skills on the baize!

Well the start of the 2026/27 DASA season has arrived! 🥳🤩

Today, play gets underway across three leagues, and the results will start coming in thick and fast 🔥

In the Handicap league, can Darren Somerville go one better and claim the crown? Will the other players who are accustomed to fighting it out at the top make their experience count? Or will the first time entrants make a splash?

In Scratch League One, will Jamie Anderson defend his crown or can he be removed off top spot? Will last year's Scratch League 2 champ, Colin McKay, make an impression? Meanwhile in Scratch League Two, the race is truly on with several new and returning players having their eyes trained on the top spot.

And who will claim the biggest break £££ prizes come the end of the season?

With the slate wiped clean all players will fancy their chances of making improvements to their game and will be hopeful of bettering their performance from last year, so best of luck to all! We'll be keeping you up to date with all the ebbs and flows this year so stay tuned for updates.

With all entries now in, the committee are now busy finalising the league tables and fixtures for the 2026/27 DASA League Snooker season, with the first matches due to be played from 17th August.

There's now only 3 days left to enter the DASA leagues for 2026/27!

Players of all experience levels are welcome to join. We run handicap and scratch leagues, along with associated cup competitions, so there is something for everyone. No previous league experience is required, and players of all standards are encouraged to enter.
