Week 2 Academy League Results

Andy’s Tartan Army 4-2 Green Army

The first fixture saw the tartan army race into a 3 nil lead through Joe, Donovan and Theo. With the absence of Charlie, Donovan had to play another singles match resulting in a clash of the captaining brothers which draw a small crowd for the big clash.
Seb ran out 2-1 winner, despite a 17 darter from Donovan, to take home the bragging rights. His form continued into the doubles winning the first one with Ashton who was making a cameo appearance with the Cat 1s due to another absence. Unfortunately the comeback was short lived as Daniel and Ethan missed numerous darts at a double for the draw.

The BFG Club 3-3 Pain in the Arch

Another absence here with Dane the pain missing and Archie having to play 2 singles, winning 1 and losing the other to Adam in a little v large clash. Millie and Jordan each won their games leaving it 2-2 after the singles.
The doubles went the same way, split 1-1 to end the match in a draw.
Shoutout to Adam hitting 2 21 darters in his victory, which also included a 42 dart leg which he lost. We can’t be great all the time Adam.

The Billie Genes 2-4 RBS FC

The third fixture saw another clash of the captains with Gene beating Jack 2-0. The Billie Genes joy was short lived as RBS fought back to take the next 3 singles through Cameron Kaden and Louie.
RBS went on to win the next two doubles although it wasn’t until after the matches had finished that it was noticed Jack had bent the rules playing 2 group 1 players together. As punishment the leg was awarded to Gene and Thomas, with Jack given a stern warning 😛

The Dubai Camels 2-4 The Starrs

The final match saw an evenly split singles at 2-2. Once again the captains facing off with Ringo beating Robert 2-1 which included a 17 darter from the winner.
Wins were also recorded by Finlay, James and Lucas who also nailed a 180 in his victory.
In the doubles The Starrs went 3-2 and in what was a nail biting finish, with darts at a double for both teams, Ringo and Lennon eventually sealed the victory.

Week 2 stats

17 darts Donovan
17 darts Ringo
21 darts x2 Adam
180 Lucas

Week 1 Academy League Results

Green Army 5-1 Pains in the Arch

The Green Army came out all guns blazing as the first of our fixtures got underway, winning all 4 singles before Dane and Millie combined to win their double and avoid the feared 6-0!

Andys Tartan Army 4-2 The BFG Club

A closely fought battle in fixture 2 with all 4 singles going all the way to a deciding third leg with the tartan army taking it 3-1 overall. Adam and Jordan won the first double for the BFGs but it wasn’t enough as Joe and Charlie stepped up to take the win for ‘Andy’ and Co

RBS FC 3-3 The Starrs

Yet again fixture 3 saw every singles game finish 2-1, with each team taking 2 singles each. All to play for in the doubles which sent Jack and Cameron give RBS a 3-2 lead only for James and Lennon to step up for The Starrs and rescue a point which was a fair result in the end.

The Billie Genes 2-4 The Dubai Camels

Another fixture which saw the singles matches finish 2 each and all to play for in the doubles. With Robert having the pick for The Camels he’s picked it well. Lucas and Ollie with the victory for 3-2 and then Robert and Finlay followed up to seal the victory.

Stats of note for the week

Archie Ferguson 180
Robert Murray 19 darts
