✨Commonwealth Games | Gymnastics Experience Day✨

Scottish Gymnastics are really excited to announce an exciting opportunity for club members to train with Team Scotland athletes from the Commonwealth Games 2026.

Participants will have the opportunity to take part in a variety of apparatus, team activities, have the opportunity to ask your hero a question and get a picture with Team Scotland… there might even be 1 or 2 demonstrations! All participants will also receive a free event t-shirt.

Where? Inverclyde National Sports Centre, Largs

When? Saturday 15th August (session 1: 10-1pmand session 2: 2-5pm)

Who? Any gymnast holding a Scottish Gymnastics bronze or silver membership is eligible to sign up.

Cost? £40 (includes t-shirt)

* all attendees must be of school age

Over the next few weeks whilst the world cup is on we would like everyone to get in the spirit and support their country.

To get into the spirit of supporting Scotland starting this weekend in the World Cup, gymnasts are encouraged to wear Scottish colours 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿.

For those not Scottish we would love for you to wear colours of your home country so that everyone is included.

We would like to wish the Scotland team and their supporters a fun enjoyable World Cup, stay safe.

🏅 Salto Gymnastics Summer Recreational Competition 2026🏅

Emails have been sent out to all our Recreational gymnasts. These has been sent to the email that is registered to their British Gymnastics Membership. If you have not received the email and have a new one for correspondence please private message me this or send an email to [email protected]

Information for the following Summer Recreational Competition:

📅 Sunday 23rd August 2026

📍 Salto Gymnastics Centre, 15 Balunie Drive, Dundee, DD4 8PS

🕑 Start time: Approx. 2:00pm

⚠️ Closing date for entries: Monday 3rd August 2026

Entries and payment must be received before the closing date. Late entries cannot be accepted.

If you would like your child to take part please collect one of the forms at the club or send me an email confirming your child will take part.

🔶🔷Pre-School Open Week🔶🔷

We look forward to seeing everyone at our Pre-school “Open Week” this week from Tuesday 9th June to Sunday 14th June.

This will give parents / guardians the opportunity to watch their child’s development and allow coaches to discuss the next stage for children moving up to primary school and the transition into our Recreational programme.

You will be given a class selection letter which lists all our Recreational classes which you can choose from for your child for moving up to the next stage of their development.

We look forward to seeing you all at your child’s “Open Week” and joining in the session with your child.

Summer is just around the corner. If you are looking for fun activities for your child over the Summer holidays, look no further.

We have 3 weeks of camps available this Summer. Our camps are open to our members and non-members.

Spaces will be limited and will fill up fast.

Times
10-3pm (Monday-Friday)
Option to stay until 4pm. See booking form for more information.

Dates
13th - 17th July
20th -24th July
10th - 14th August

Book 2 weeks to receive £10 discount off 2nd week booked.

Single days are also available.

Please note that payment must be made when booking to secure your child’s space, otherwise your child will not be added to the camp register and will not be allocated a place.

All classes run as normal along with camps during the Summer holidays.

Booking forms will be handed out to your child at class and are available at reception.

☀️ Warm Weather Reminder for Gymnastics Classes ☀️

As we approach the warmer weather over the summer months, can we remind all parents the importance of your child staying hydrated before and during their sessions. All children are required to bring a refillable bottle of water.

If parents can also ensure that your child’s hair is tied back before entering the gym and ALL jewellery removed ready to start their class as soon as they enter the gym.

All gymnasts follow Salto’s unique Steps to Success programme, designed to support and celebrate every gymnast’s journey—no matter their starting point.

This progressive awards scheme recognises effort, commitment, and skill development. As gymnasts move through each level, they earn badges and certificates (available at a small cost), helping to build confidence, motivation, and pride in their achievements.

Parents will also be able to clearly see the level their child is working on, with copies provided to take home.

🛑Recreational Classes
Ages: 5+ years (school age)
Duration: 2-hour sessions
* Monday: 4-6pm or 6–8pm
* Tuesday: 4–6pm (Girls Only) or 6–8pm (Girls Only)
* Wednesday: 4–6pm or 6-8pm
* Thursday: 4-6pm or 6–8pm
* Friday: 4-6pm or 6–8pm
* Saturday: 10-12pm or 12–2pm (Girls Only)

🛑Pathway Programme Guarantee
All gymnasts are guaranteed progression through our pathway programme from pre-school to school-age classes—no waiting lists.

Drop-off & Collection:
Parents drop off and collect gymnasts at the front door at the end of each session, except for Parent & Toddler and ASN classes.
