Senior Open 4th June 2026

The Open is underway with circa 170 players attending from across the country.

Slight rainfall at the start of the day but it's brightened up, course in great condition thanks to the green keeping teams efforts. Also a huge thank you to Cameron for undertaking the role of starter for the day and to whole of the bar / catering team for looking after all player requirements throughout the day.

Over 100 ladies from around Scotland played in this year's Ladies Open Tri-Am. It was a fantastic event that showcased Downfield at its best. The weather was kind to us and our visitors thoroughly enjoyed our course and the hospitality in the clubhouse.

Attached are the results for the event together with notice of a new course record achieved on the day by Fiona Rattray from Douglas Park Golf Club who shot a terrific score (Gross 72) playing off a handicap of (0.3).

Alongside this event we held a 100 square raffle in support of Pancreatic Cancer UK which we are pleased to advise raised over £500

A massive thanks to all those who donated prizes and bought squares.

Congratulations to everyone involved in making this such a successful day.

New Tee Signage at Downfield

The team installed the new signs a couple of weeks ago for the start of the season which are looking great.

Today, we took delivery of the first couple of company sponsor signs at holes 9 & 12.

Thanks to NFU Mutual and The Silvery Tay for sponsoring these holes.

Other holes have been sponsored and signs will follow shortly.
