My Story

CLUBSPORT, born 1983 so turned 36 years-old in 2019, is a SPECIALIST SPORTS RETAILER based in Dundee. It’s not a general sports retailer that sells everything sports-related though for the first 10 years of its existence it was. Instead, my shop is a conveniently-situated showroom with easy & free parking half a mile from the centre of Dundee & adjacent to both Universities. When customers use me it’s because I provide a very hands-on service which is not available on the internet. However you will find my prices compare favourably with internet prices - I do keep a close eye on the competition.

My business is three dimensional, I specialise in CRICKET in season, HOCKEY in season & CLUB BUSINESS throughout the year. Each accounts for approximately one-third of my trade. Club business is a very broad based category & includes allsorts, education, corporate, society & any aspect of club business. This can typically be supplying a set of football strips for a boys’ club, supplying a dozen basketballs to a school, supplying court marking tape for a badminton club or supplying & embroidering polo shirts for a golf tour. After 36 years I have an extensive reference base & sourcing expertise. CRICKET & HOCKEY are self explanatory, I am simply an out-and-out specialist retailer in both sports with a degree of expertise which is second to none. I am proud to be the last remnant of the independent sports retail trade in Dundee. Being a literal sole-trader, I provide a very personal service & will be honoured by your custom. Graham McLaren
