I have the table after the first round of games and I'll publish that st the start of next week.

For those who enjoyed Wednesday a few hardy folks head down to Dawson Park on Saturday morning to have a bit of a run about. This usually involves sprint and skill drills set around touch rugby. If there are enough numbers it also includes a game!

So if the touch rugby bug has bitten you or you just fancy a bit of exercise and fresh air on a Saturday morning, head on down to Dawson Park, 10:00 this Saturday!

What an absolutely fantastic night of touch rugby!!

Thank you to everyone who came down! The atmosphere was fantastic throughout the evening!!!

I will post the results and the wee bit of footage I have (thank you Eilidh! Appreciate the help!).

Also we had our first couple of bits of lost property so if you recognise them please give me a shout!

That's the fixtures published and I am really pleased to say we have 6 teams ready to contest this year's competition!

Now, two of the squads may need some help throughout the night, namely the Harlequins and the Greenfield Barbarians. The Barbarians are new this year as Must Tag Sally are close to having two teams! So to ensure folks get as much game time as possible, the Barbarians will consist of these guys and anyone else who can help out who isn't playing! So don't be shy if you are feeling fit!!

The weather isn't the greatest but the forecast does have sunny spells by the time we kick off. This may be combined with some more light rain so please ensure you dress appropriately!!!

Would be great to see as many people down as possible tonight (with their entry fee please!).

Today is the day!!! It's tap off day for Dundee Touch Rugby!!!

I will post the fixtures later today once I have confirmation of the amount of teams but in the meantime I have a few things to bring up.

Photos and recordings. If anyone has an issue with being in photos and video please let me know. I'll be looking to do a group photo tonight as there is hope that we may feature in a local paper, so if you don't want to be part of that, please don't feel any pressure!

On the same note, if anyone is able to get photos and videos and share it with me that would be fantastic! This is a great community and the game is a lot of fun. I'm on a mission to reflect that both here and on tiktok!

The tester last week tells us that it can take a while to get to the pitch from the car park! Please take that into account when planning your arrival!!!

Finally, for now, please remember the entry fee! We take a lot of pride in making the whole season available to all for only 5 quid. As we are collecting for Greenfield Academy rugby kit, if you can afford more it's a worthy cause!!!

Tomorrow sees the season kicking off!!! We currently have 5 definite teams with the possibility of a 6th and a slim shot of a 7th so I am holding off on fixtures until I am sure.

One of those teams will be the Harlequins! The Harlequins have a long history with Dundee Touch. It is made up of folks who want to play bit don't necessarily have an affiliation with another squad! They also rock the nicest kits!! The other great thing about the 'quins is that just about everyone will play for them at some stage throughout the season!!

So if you are one of those players who maybe doesn't have a set team, please make yourself known to me and you will be welcomed to the Harlequins!!

We are still looking for names for the Harlequins team... we will likely have enough but experience tells us the more people signed up to the Harlequins the better!!

We are also currently flirting with the numbers of teams... there are definitely 5 but we potentially have 7!! I will leave it as long as I can before posting fixtures to try and ensure I know all the teams!!!

With that in mind, let's talk about entry fee's this year. I have always taken a lot of pride in the fact that we keep the cost of touch rugby as low as possible to ensure its as inclusive as possible. I'm happy to say this continues this year with a £5 entry cost for the whole season.

Now, I do have a further request... this year, our entrance money will be going towards the kids at Greenfield Academy getting new rugby kit. With that in mind, if you can spare a bit more than the fiver, it will be going towards a really good cause. Zero pressure, but I do believe you will be lighter on your feet and therefore much more likely to score if you had just donated to a good cause!!!

Please pay the cash to Martin on the evening. I will aim to keep a register of everyone who has paid. Many thanks.

Hey everyone. I'm looking to find out if we have enough interest to put a team in to the Glasgow open.

It is due to take place on the 13th of June. It will be a mixed competition so it will be a minimum of three female players on the pitch at all times.

The entry cost is 160 per team, but it is important to stress if you wanted to play you would need to be a member of the Scottish Touch Association which I believe is £35 for an annual subscription.

If we don't have enough, we are able to sign up as individual players so we could still head over with as large a group as we can put together.

If you're interested, please let me know in the first instance so we can look into entering a Dundee team. If that turns out not to be possible we will keep in touch to help out with transport.

Team registration for our Glasgow Open Tournament closes on the 5th June.
