⚽ Keeping Walking Football Safe, Fair, and Growing

Across the walking‑football community, three topics come up more than anything else — and they matter to every player who steps onto the pitch:

Injuries: calf strains, knee pain, and ankle sprains are the most common, which is why good warm‑ups, supportive footwear, and listening to your body make such a difference.

Laws of the Game: no running, no contact, controlled turns, and respect for the pace of play keep walking football safe and enjoyable for everyone.

New Players: clubs everywhere are welcoming fresh faces, building confidence, and growing the sport one session at a time.

St James Walking Football is proud to be part of that movement — keeping the game fun, inclusive, and true to its ethos.

Come along to one of our sessions, new players welcome.
