🦶 SUFFERING WITH HEEL PAIN? IT COULD BE PLANTAR FASCIITIS
That sharp pain in your heel when you get out of bed in the morning? Or discomfort when walking, running or standing for long periods?
You could be experiencing plantar fasciitis.
The plantar fascia is a thick band of tissue running along the bottom of your foot, helping to support your arch and absorb impact. When it becomes overloaded and irritated, it can cause pain around the heel and sole of the foot.
🏃♀️ So, can sports massage help?
Sports massage can be a useful part of a wider recovery plan. It may help by:
✅ Releasing tension in the calves and surrounding muscles
✅ Improving mobility through the foot and ankle
✅ Reducing muscle tightness
✅ Supporting more comfortable movement
✅ Helping you stay active while working on your recovery
It’s important to remember that plantar fasciitis usually needs more than massage alone. Managing activity, strengthening the foot and calf, and gradually building load are all important parts of recovery.
If heel pain is stopping you from doing the things you enjoy, don’t just put up with it.
