Coach Phil up singing “Be Young, Be Foolish, Be Happy” with the boys after an unforgettable season together 🧡💙

Phil came into the group this season and quickly became a huge part of it. The players, coaches and families all took to him straight away.

After over 50 years! involved in football, in his own words, he described this season as “the brightest shining star” of his time in the game.

He sent this message afterwards and honestly… it sums this group up perfectly.

A MESSAGE FROM THE GAFFER:

We were called “The Tans.” 🧡💙

13 years ago this all started with a bunch of little boys running about in oversized strips at fun fours.

Back then none of us knew where this journey would take us.

Honestly, when I first took this team over, I could never have imagined where football would eventually lead us.

What followed was thousands of miles travelled, freezing mornings, tough defeats, unbelievable highs, cup finals, league titles, changing room laughs, bus journeys, friendships, and memories that will stay with us forever.

We travelled across Scotland, around the UK, and even abroad together, something that felt beyond my wildest dreams when this all began.

And the crazy thing is… the trophies and wins only tell a small part of the story.

The real memories are countless.

The laughs on the buses.
The nights away.
The dressing room madness.
The moments after defeats and after wins.
The conversations.
The friendships.
Watching boys become brothers.

This team became part of our lives.

As coaches, we didn’t just watch these boys become footballers.
We watched them become young men.

And honestly, that’s what we’ll be proudest of.

To every player who pulled on that Fairmuir jersey over the years, thank you.

Thank you for your commitment.
Thank you for your loyalty to each other.
Thank you for the memories you’ve given us all.

You boys gave everything to this club and to each other right until the very end.

To the parents and families, thank you for trusting us with your boys all these years. The support, sacrifices, lifts, touchline encouragement, and belief never went unnoticed.

To my fellow coaches and volunteers, thank you for every bit of time and effort you poured into this group. We built something special together.

And somehow now…
it’s over.

The final whistle has gone on one incredible chapter.

But what a way to finish.

League Champions.
East Region Champions.
A 4-0 win in the final ever youth game together.

Poetic really.

The boys will now move onto adult football and new chapters in life, but what was created here will never disappear.

The bond.
The memories.
The laughs.
The madness.
The trophies.
The tough moments.
The family we became.

That stays forever.

One day, years from now, the medals will be tucked away, the boots long retired, and the scorelines forgotten.

But none of us will ever forget how this team made us feel.

A group of boys who became a family.
A club that became home.
A journey that gave us memories most people spend a lifetime searching for.

Thank you boys.
For every mile, every laugh, every battle, and every moment.

Forever proud to have been your coach.
And forever grateful that, for 13 unforgettable years, we were The Tans ❤️

This Sunday marks the end of that journey. ❤️

One last time pulling on the Fairmuir badge.
One last walk out together.

From cold mornings, long drives, wins, losses, cups, league titles, laughs, friendships and memories that will last forever… this group gave everything. 🔸🔹

🏆 DDYFA U18 LEAGUE CHAMPIONS 🏆

Fairmuir BC U18s are officially league champions 🔷🔶

A brilliant achievement from this group of players and coaches in their final season together in youth football.

Many of these boys have been together since fun fours football at 5 years old, and to finish their youth journey by lifting a league title makes it even more special.

Massive credit to every player for the hard work, commitment and attitude they’ve shown all season. A huge thank you also goes to all parents, families, supporters and volunteers who have backed the team throughout the years.

This group has created memories that will last a lifetime.

But we’re not finished yet…

Fairmuir BC 7–0 Kelty Hearts

Into the Regional Cup Final 🏆

For 35–40 minutes, this was a proper game.
1–0, tight, and Kelty asking questions in behind.

Second half - different level.
Tempo up. Decisions sharper. Ruthless in the final third.

Logan Grant hat-trick off the bench. ⚽️⚽️⚽️
Huge impact! 👏
