Saturday 4th November 2023 North of Tay Cup Round 1 🏆

Goals - Shaun Williamson and Shaun Roelevled

A frantic cup tie at the DISC this morning ended in dramatic fashion.

An end to end first half with both sides having chances , the lads played some good stuff and defended strongly. We got the breakthrough through Shaun Williamson with his finish after a good save from the keeper. Yet again the response was good and we continued to get it down and play our game. We had a second ruled out for a handball from a Sturrock header after an excellent delivery from McWilliam. Harsh on the boys.

Second half started and fair play to athletic they came out firing and pressed us high so credit to them, they equalised with a good finish into the bottom corner as Donnet tried to hook it off the line.

A wonder goal followed from athletic which rocked us. The survival and dig for each other was immense we stuck at it and gave everything for each other. With 10 to go a tactical change to 442 paid off with a great strike from 20 yards from Shaun Roeleveld to pull us level with 5 to go.

From then on it was a frantic last 5 with both sides having chances. From an athletic corner the ball was bouncing around , it looked to be a blatant handball , Unfortunately not given and athletic scrambled it home to win the cup tie.

Fair play to them and All the best to them in the next round.

Man of the Match - Gary Nicoll.

Saturday 14th of October
DSMFL Division 2

Man of the match - Liam Donnet

An end to end game at Dawson ended 4-1 Claverhouse.

With them taking the lead early on from a ball that broke on the corner of the box.

The response from our boys was good but just couldn’t get the final pass or break of the ball. Until left back Andrew Ross picked up the ball in his own half and ran the length of the park before firing into the top corners from 20 yards to level the game.

We then had a great spell of possession in the final third but just couldn’t take advantage.

Claverhouse took the lead on the 33rd minute with an effort into the bottom corner.

Two changes from ourselves on the 58th minute with goalkeeper byres being replaced due to an injury. Clavie grabbed a third on the break on the 60th minute.

Boys never gave up which is a massive credit to them and stuck with each other right until the end. 💚🖤

Before Claverhouse scored the 4th on 89 minutes which was an unbelievable strike , Kaden Robertson made an unbelievable save at point blank range from a header outstanding young man.

North of Tay action next week as we look to bounce back. 👏🏻⚽

Saturday 7th of October
Scottish Cup 1st Round

Man of the match - Joe Curran

A typical cup tie with both sides right up for it yesterday at the DISC. With a couple making their debut for us also.

Was a competitive game with Fodder taking the lead in the 11th minute , the boys put in an excellent shift defensively and going forward on a big pitch limited fodder to few chances which is credit to the back 4. The midfield 3 linked up well and got us up the park as we pushed to level the game.

Into the second half with one change at half time , more of the same from the boys with a power of work on a big park.

Fodder got a second on the break with TWENTY SIX Minutes to go. 10 minutes later we get a penalty for handball , Simpson stepped up and the keeper makes an excellent save with the rebound coming back off the bar.

Fodder then saw out the remaining 15 minutes and they advance.

We wish them all the best in the next round!

Back to league action next Saturday as we look to build on positive performances and increasing team spirit in the last 3 games.
