Some updated progress📸
Been putting everything into training, fitness and taking care of my mental this year and I’m now confident enough to be seeing the results of a lot of hard work after a lot of days.

Everything so far has felt brand new and giving the fulfilment I’ve needed. I’ve kept promises to myself to improve and make real, serious changes not just for now but for good. Have really built from the ground up to get back to a good place to where I’m at now which I’m proud of and I’ve got plenty more left to give. The whole point for me was to not make it seasonal but to fully dedicate myself again to loving the process and build a lasting routine.

Really loving playing a game of you vs you to bring out what I think can be a better version of me in everything I do. Far from perfect thats not the aim but as long as progress is made. Setting some big goals, looking for new challenges has made a huge difference and just protecting my energy so I have enough for where it matters has been huge and it’s quietly paying off.

I was needing a big shake up so I’m glad I caught the fire when I needed it most now I’m just focussed on continuing what feels like a new and improved journey - not constantly moving the bar so I’m never satisfied, but learning to celebrate wins, having a good relationship with myself by staying ready health wise and live more consciously of making decisions that will benefit me both physically and mentally.

Trainings a part of my life that should never leave and this year so far has been a kind reminder that it always keeps me in a better place and feeling like i’m moving forwards so I’m looking forward to not letting myself down and seeing what I’m capable of in the long run🤝

Week numero not a clue👊🏅

I’m seeing a big shift in myself as it goes on especially from my starting point which is motivating me to keep going and put as much into this as possible and beyond.

A lot of wins this week to take this week. Comfortably hitting long distances, even impressed myself getting a 5k PB. Weights dropping, getting fitter, getting faster, getting stronger and confidence is growing. Aware this motivation is temporary and it’s up to me to continue in this way which I will.

Proving a point to myself that I’m more than capable and not limited to any doubts or beliefs I’ve had before.

For someone who’s always solely been gym focussed this is all new. I’m learning, adapting my training seeing results come my way. Which is really fulfilling and exactly what I’m needing.

Training gym wise has been flying, pretty much finding any excuse to train so consistency is not an issue. Showing up, feeling strong and having enjoyable sessions is the only goal for now.

Not everyday is an easy one. For me, I cope by making a decision to do what needs to be done, no matter how I’m feeling, stress, energy, or mood aside.
Keeping a log of what I’ve managed to push through, once I choose to take action the day usually turns out to be a win.

Always thinking of the bigger picture how I’m going to thank myself later. Every day’s a chance to build a better body and a stronger mind. Whether I show up or not is on me but this journey’s become an opportunity to build self-control and discipline, and that’s a good feeling.

Things are clicking now. Body is responding and head is clear so now to keep pushing🫡

The weeks are flying in, and we are already halfway through training for the half marathon and fully back in the swing of things.

Really happy with how things are shaping up at the minute. Feel as though I’ve turned a corner with training and life in general. I’ve managed to rebuild a routine back into my life and made my health number one priority. Not just ticking boxes but putting everything into it.

Real change is always a challenge, but it has to come from within, not from anywhere else. There isn’t ever a perfect time to start or take control but it helps not letting things get worse before they can get better.

I’m fully accountable for how I treat myself and my body nobody else can do it for me. I’ve realised that the only goal I should be aiming for is to just want to be a better version of myself, wanting to improve physically and mentally and on a constant striving to do what challenges me. This goal doesn’t have a time stamp on it. It’s ongoing, fulfilling and more importantly enjoyable.

Half way in to a really productive training block preparing for a half marathon. Starting something new and building myself up has been the best decision I’ve made fitness wise. Without reflecting too much just yet I know I’m hitting milestones I wouldn’t have thought were possible for me at the beginning and it’s easily the most rewarding feeling seeing the progress happen.

The most important for me and how I judge my progress is all the days I show up for myself and put in the work regardless of how I’m feeling, putting discipline back in and making sure I make the most of what I’m capable of.

At a point now where I’ve been before where I’ve made a solid progress and let distractions derail me and lost focus, this one feels different. Definitely on a path now where I’m confident that if I can keep doing exactly what I’m doing following the plan and showing up I could get in the best condition I’ve been in and be proud of the work I’ve done in the process.
So tunnel vision for the next 7 weeks🫡

Another week down🤝

For me the only real goal I’m working on is building on my own mental strength as it’s by far the most important for me to work on just now, nothing else will fall into place if I’m not making it a priority and everything else is just a bonus.

There are always silent struggles that try to run the show in daily life, things that try to derail you on your journey. For me I’ve spent too long in the same loops of self doubt, negative self talk, thought traps, anxiety and excuses. What I realise is how much energy gets wasted just trying to get out of your own head and not taking action.

Momentum doesn’t come from overthinking, waiting on the perfect time to arrive. It’s all about doing the things that challenge you, that makes you better and keeps you busy from worrying about other things. Focussing on the next small step you can take and knowing you’ll thank yourself for doing it later.

Really pushing myself at the moment to continue on a good path of improving and growing physically and mentally. Not rushing the process, aiming to be better and just focussing on what I can do for myself daily.

Change is a slow and not easy but you have to be resilient enough to keep going if you want the results one day.

I am much more aware of patterns that drain my energy and hold me back. It’s never going to be a perfect week but as long as I’m trying. Challenging those patterns also creates better habits and makes it less likely I’ll fall off track.

Feeling like my old self in the gym just enjoying training consistently and taking it less seriously seems to be working a treat just now. Good progress being made and some weight coming off. Long may it last🫡

It was a bit of a deload week on the running plan so just following it to a tee. The long runs are coming🥶

So we are back on here after taking an unplanned sabbatical.

I’ve been pretty disconnected from my own fitness journey over the past while as I’ve not had any goals set or felt like anything going on or seen on here was relatable for me.

Pretty much lost solid year of training but priorities shifted, life got so much busier as I took on more than I could handle which ultimately led to stopping coaching altogether.

It was probably the right decision as I don’t miss it. The same passion and love for it I had when I started PT at 19 wasn’t quite there anymore so a good time to call it. Only need to worry about one client now for the foreseeable and that’s what I’ll be using this page for to share my own journey again👌

Definitely leaning on fitness to get me through some of life’s setbacks but that’s what it’s there for when you need it most. Reflecting now on the changes that’s needed to be made in myself in order to move forward, grow and get better mentally and physically.

Putting full focus on prioritising self improvement. I’m now at the start of a new journey that’s extremely motivating, filled with goals that will no doubt be a success and come with many positive outcomes.

All I know that’s needed is to stay in the present not worry about the future and work hard every day to make sure I stick to my word and reach where I want to go, so here’s the start💪

Picking up some new hobbies along the way running has been a new lease of life. Starting from the ground up and seeing the improvements already has lead me to sign up for a wee half marathon in July so a big one to work towards now.

Training in the gym has never felt better, just finding the right balance and routine to keep both progressing.

Accountability promised - updates to follow🫡

Client Transformation💥

An amazing transformation here from my client

Working together for almost a year chipping away at her goals and it’s fair to say we’ve had some success🏆

Saying goodbye to 20lbs of body fat adding some new muscle. Now in such a completely different space mentally and physically in each photo.
An incredible achievement in itself👏

Jodie has put in so much effort during this time of dieting and has proved a point to herself that she’s more than capable.

I’ve seen her go from strength to strength in her journey up until this point and I do not see her slowing down as keeps challenging herself with even bigger goals (running a marathon😵) she is determined to become her best version of herself and have a physique she should be proud of🗣

Stepping into the gym for the first time whilst starting a diet can be a lot to manage initially, but slowly but surely wins the race we kept chipping away creating positive habits and working on her mindset when going through difficult days/weeks.

When you’re in a fat loss phase the progress you’re chasing can sometimes make or break you, it’s wrong to judge yourself based on a number on the scale each morning.
If the habits and routine you’ve created don’t break, you’ll get the drop you are chasing and before you know it your 20lbs down🙌

Base your success on the efforts you put into sessions and how determined you are to reach your goals. The attitude you show up with daily will get you the results you desire.

If you show up every session determined to progress and are consistent with your nutrition and other goals out with the gym you’re in good hands.

Momentum catches fire you’ll notice the changes take place physically and mentally.

Couldn’t be happier for Jodie been an absolute pleasure to coach and her transformation is a deserved reward for her hard work👏👏

𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐮𝐨𝐮𝐬 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬 = 𝐇𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐭𝐬💥💭⁣

One thing I'd say everyone should believe in is how much of an effect compounding good habits has on your goals and life.

The results may not be clear overnight, but with consistent effort and deliberate action, positive habits can play a huge part in achieving your goals

The easiest way to increase confidence is when you stack small wins upon each other.

Push yourself to achieve one more rep during your workouts, add one kg to the bar, one extra minute of cardio, or one more step in your run or walk, wake up one hour earlier
each day, complete an extra session - these are examples of stackable wins that force you to do more.

Just by doing one more thing every day, you start to create a snowball effect that will significantly impact your results over time.

If you keep putting in the effort you will start seeing success happen right in front of you.

The momentum you build along the way will turn once-difficult tasks into manageable tasks. And as you overcome them, you'll be ready for tougher challenges ahead.

Some of those tasks may be uncomfortable. They might seem misleadingly simple, yet you hesitate to complete them because you think it's too difficult or you're not giving yourself a chance.

This is when you make the decision to get it done or leave it for another day. One will significantly improve your chances of reaching your goals, the other will only reinforce you’re not capable of creating new habits.

Progress is continuous. It's everything to do with what you're doing every day that gets you closer to your goals. It's what keeps it challenging and interesting.

It's not easy trying to be the best version of yourself every day but you get a lot back from the effort you give in and out of the gym.

𝐍𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐒𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐥𝐞 - 𝐊𝐞𝐞𝐩 𝐌𝐨𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠💥

One thing for certain, fitness goals will force you to adopt a very growth-oriented mindset. Believing that you can and will is the main driver. Choose to believe you can't, and you won't. Choose to believe you can, and you will.

From the start of the journey, you will hit countless milestones that seemed too far away at some point, and then all of a sudden, you're there.

Then you have the decision to settle for the small progression you've made (in perspective) or decide to push on to even higher milestones, proving a point to yourself and showing how far you are willing to take your progress.

There is no ceiling unless you choose to believe that there is.

You are going to have to work extremely hard to get in good shape. Once you feel you are there, you're going to have to work even harder to maintain that level of shape and seek further improvement.

Most people slow down once they reach a certain point of satisfaction within themselves. They put down their tools, lose motivation, and willingly put in less effort to maintain or grow from the goal they set out and accomplished.

This is where you'll find yourself losing track of your goals and drive, and never be satisfied. But remember, there's more to come. Work even harder after you achieve a big goal.

If this is where most people stop, then this is exactly why you should continue. Separate yourself from the rest and push for more progression and continued success.

Your fitness goals can change, but your work ethic, habits, and mindset should always keep developing.

Enjoy working on creating a stronger version of yourself, improving in every area you can. It doesn't stop until you decide. If I haven't mentioned that already.

Keep moving💥💥

Physique/Life Update

87>83kg.

My goals right now aren’t fixated solely on physique, getting lean or in ridiculous shape.

Right now I am fully invested in myself, giving my thoughts the time of day and building a much more growth-orientated mindset.

The goal is to raise my standards to allow for more mental growth. The fulfilment with my physique comes from proving a point to myself.

The goal is to get a little bit better every day, raise my energy to try to max out my potential in every area I can.

The goal is to bring people along with me and help others see through any goal they want to achieve.

That’s a road that gives me satisfaction and happiness that I’m gonna continue to take.

Putting my mind first, doing right by myself, and managing stress the best I can is what’s important for me to focus on just now.

I feel healthy, I feel strong and content with where I’m headed, and I am doing my best to create habits and a routine that leads to a lifestyle that is a true reflection of what I’m trying to achieve.

The thing is, I have always trained consistently for years and that will not change for the rest of my time.

Looking back the reason my progress can be unfulfilling is because the work was being done for selfish reasons, just wanting to look good and letting myself be affected by what others think.

For me, the only pressure I feel is internal and a lot of the time I let that weigh heavy, which can cause a lot of self-doubt and force me to second-guess every decision I make. Which I now realise isn’t a healthy place to be mentally.

Now I feel as though I train solely to strengthen my mental state and only for me. Building a more resilient mindset, instilling the confidence back within myself.

My training goes hand in hand with developing just that.

My aim now is to thrive in an environment that provides growth and allows me to continue in a positive headspace.

The physique I'm always going to be chasing will be a by-product and a reflection of the work I'm doing outside the gym.

Life is good though there’s been a lot going on, new beginnings, new adventures, and a new home.
Motivated to bring my best, these next months will show that🤞

𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐦𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤 𝐌𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐬 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐃𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐦 𝗪𝐨𝐫𝐤💥

Having someone to help you push past your perceived limit of capabilities is extremely valuable.

You need people in your corner overseeing what you’re doing and managing the variables you’re stressing about so you can focus your energy elsewhere.

That voice could provide you with the knowledge or accountability to take your training to the next level.

Having trust in a coach/friend is key as they want the best for you. The perspective they gain by working with you allows them to give you the right advice, push you to your limits and be that voice of reason when you lose track of your goals.

People that genuinely care about your physical and mental health will be there when you doubt yourself.

Not seeing your own potential is hugely common. Sometimes it takes hearing it from someone else to register.

Acknowledge the people who can help you switch gears and spur you on to progress.

What I always look to provide with my service is firstly getting the cogs turning; switching on that light bulb.

The goal is not to paint the dream, but more so to provide the belief that it's possible to accomplish something to be proud of.

Everyone has a starting point, and that shouldn’t be looked at negatively. It’s the point where you decide to change your situation.

It can be daunting starting from square one but it’s about being able to recognise that you’re making a conscious effort to do something that's going to benefit you.

Belief in your ability progresses throughout your journey.

The progress you make in the gym translates to other areas of your life - way beyond physique.

That's how the before and after photos of a transformation display different people, mentally and physically, crystal clear.

When you start seeing the results of your hard work, your trust will grow and help you realise the benefit of their input, driving you to instil their advice and keep progressing.

Your potential starts with your support system - a team working towards a common goal. Then, once you start putting the pieces together success is inevitable.

Some unbelievable progress to share with you all from my client 👏

We have made huge strides in progress working together. Zoe was and is my first-ever client she started literally from day 1, to now so strong and technically sound within the gym.

The last time I shared her physique she had just come off the back of a cut which was hugely successful.

But more so it landed us in the perfect position with her body composition already lean meaning she is primed for a prolonged gaining phase.

The best approach was to spend a long time in this phase with plans in place to make sure our focus is solely on one goal. No rush or pressure just a solid, sustainable plan to build new muscle.

Brick by brick making steady improvements and holding ourselves accountable as to why we are doing this.

The basics still need to get covered you must train hard and use progressive overload to get stronger over a long period, doing this will send a signal to the body to grow and repair muscle.

So this time, we have gained 9kg on the scale from 49kg to 58kg. Funnily enough, looks even better at a much higher point on the scale.

The scale is only there to clarify that we are going in the right direction besides that we don’t look into it that much.

All that matters is we are having fun progressing our training and enjoying other parts of life as much as possible.

Her physique is incredible and still has so much potential which she sees too.

The gains are there to be seen improvements have been made significantly across the board👏

Deserves every bit of credit for her hard work and should celebrate the physique she’s worked so hard to attain.

We now turn our attention to an important wedding where she plans on being a shredded bridesmaid🙌

Which starts a new diet phase for us. A brand new goal to focus on which requires more hard work.

Usually, you are conscious of making sure a client will get the result they are after, but with Zoe I’m super relaxed I know for a fact she is going to bring it.

As she has shown how to follow through with a plan, and take action and has smashed every goal In front of her so far.
