The John Muir Way Ultra Marathon is the first race of its type on the East coast and guarantees to provide competitors with mile upon mile of East Lothian’s most stunning and iconic coastal stretches, rural landscape and woodland trails. The route will begin at the Port Seton Promenade and primarily follow the well-established John Muir Way and meander through a number of historic towns and villag

es including Aberlady, Gullane and North Berwick with race finishing at Foxlake Adventures, Dunbar. The John Muir Way Ultra Marathon will be 50km in distance and include touches of elevation as the trail heads in-land and away from the coastline. The John Muir Ultra Marathon is going to creating a fantastic opportunity for new and entry level Ultra Runners to take the plunge and sign up for a new, big challenge. The race will also provide elite and advanced runners with a new, easily accessible race onto their event schedule. The Race registration will take place at Foxlake Adventures, Dunbar where cars are welcome to be parked for the duration of the race. Transport to the race start in Port Seton will be provided as part of the entry fee.

Not that we are wishing time away but we are looking forward to getting back to Balgone for this cracker of an event. 6 hours, 5km loop, fire pits, music, great vibes. Hopefully see lots of you there!!!
