HUB FOUNDATIONS

Your first 4 weeks at Sports+Fitness HUB.

New to the HUB? Feeling unsure where to start or nervous about just coming along when you’ve never done it before?

we’ve got the perfect entry route right here!

We know walking into a new gym can sometimes feel daunting.

What session should I book? What weight should I use? How does a SkiErg work? What’s Hybrid? What’s Capacity? Am I fit enough to join in?

That’s exactly why we’ve created HUB FOUNDATIONS.

A 4 week introduction to Sports+Fitness HUB designed to give you the knowledge, confidence and support to get stuck into everything we offer.

Whether you’re completely new to training, returning after some time away, or you’re already active but just new to the HUB this is your starting point.

WHAT’S INCLUDED?

60 MINUTE HUB INDUCTION

Your journey starts with a 60 minute induction with HUB owner Gordon.

We’ll show you around, introduce you to how everything works and cover all things HUB, our timetable, the different types of sessions, equipment, machines and some of the fundamental movement patterns you’ll see in our classes. A chance to ask as many questions as you want and get the help from the start.

The aim is simple, when you walk into your first session, you’ll already feel like you know what you’re doing and where you’re going.

UNLIMITED TRAINING FOR 4 WEEKS

You’ll receive a full unlimited class pass for the entire four weeks.

Hybrid. Strength. Capacity. Engine. HYROX. Showdown. Run Club and more.

We’ll help you choose the right sessions to get started and gradually introduce you to everything the HUB has to offer.

Our coaching team will know you’re part of HUB FOUNDATIONS, so when you arrive at your chosen sessions they’ll be there to offer additional guidance with movements, machines, equipment, weights, scaling and technique. We don’t expect anyone to know everything, we’re all still learning!

You’ll also be added to a dedicated WhatsApp group for the full four weeks.

Another cracking day at Wild Hybrid and another reminder of why we love hybrid training.

From first timers to seasoned competitors, we had a brilliant group of Hubsters take on the challenge, with some seriously strong results along the way.

Create the right environment, put the right values in place and stick to them. The right people will find you.

We’ve always been really intentional about the kind of place we wanted the HUB to be. The values, the people and the culture matter just as much to us as the training.

And luckily, over the years, we’ve organically attracted the most brilliant bunch of people.

65 women from the HUB. Different ages, stages and walks of life, all choosing to spend a Saturday together in Edinburgh, singing ABBA, drinking prosecco and having the absolute best time. 🪩🥂

But the team also want to say a personal thank you to every woman who joined us yesterday.

Amongst you were women studying, running businesses, postpartum, caring for elderly parents, solo parenting, recovering from health issues, grieving and juggling motherhood, relationships, work and life in all its many forms.

And yet, amongst all of that, you make time for yourselves. You prioritise your health, you turn up, you work incredibly hard and you push yourselves in every session. Our classes aren’t easy and we see how hard you all work week in, week out.

Thank you for making the time, not just for yesterday but for yourselves. Thank you for trusting us with your health, for sharing your stories and for being part of what we’ve created. You are the people who make the HUB what it is. 💙

That’s the bit you can’t really sell. You just have to build it.

And we feel very lucky that we’ve built something that has attracted this bunch.

And a huge thank you to Brewhemia for having us yesterday for your ABBA Brunch. 🪩 We honestly had the best time. Incredible value for money, brilliant service and such a great atmosphere. We’d 100% recommend it.

BIG WEEKEND AT HQ… AND A BIG ONE FOR OUR HUBSTERS ON TOUR! 💙🔥

While HQ was absolutely buzzing this weekend, plenty of our Hubsters were out representing away from home too!

🏃‍♂️ SCOTTISH HALF MARATHON

We had a brilliant squad out collecting PBs on the Half marathon and 10k alongside a few taking on their first ever half marathon.

Seeing the work that’s gone into these results has been brilliant. For some, the journey has gone from Couch to 5K -regular running - training for a half marathon. That doesn’t happen overnight, it’s months of consistency, turning up and putting the work in.

Massive congratulations to every single one of you. Be proud of how far you’ve come! 👏💙

🏆 THE HYBRID GAMES — NEWCASTLE

Down in Newcastle, Jon and Coach Dave took on the Male Solo Hybrid Games.

Jon came away with a HUGE PB from his last outing 💪 while Coach Dave took on the event for the very first time and only went and picked up 3rd place in his age category! 🥉🔥

HUB TO HORIZON

What a day for the

Today we took the HUB outdoors, with 50 everyday athletes joining us for our beach session from long time Hubsters to people experiencing the Sports+Fitness HUB for the very first time! 💙

We mixed it up with bodyweight conditioning, cardio, dumbbell AMRAPs and partner work, bringing plenty of energy to the beach!

Then we slowed things right down with some chilled Pilates, mobility and stretching, before heading back to the HUB for refreshments, a refuel and a good catch-up. 👌

A fantastic day, hosted by the best team, and a brilliant reminder of what our community is all about.

A massive thank you to everyone who came along and got involved, whether you’ve been with us for years or today was your first taste of the HUB.

And to all the first-timers, don’t be strangers! Come back and get involved in one of our weekly sessions. We’d love to have you back. 💪💙

THE HEART OF DUNBAR FESTIVAL

We’re really excited to be part of our first Heart of Dunbar Festival this year and even more excited that we’re kicking things off at the HUB this Sunday with HUB to Horizon.

It’s shaping up to be a brilliant morning of movement, challenge and community and we’re delighted that so many of you wanted to be part of it. In fact, we sold out and have now managed to release 10 more spaces due to the waiting list.

But we didn’t want the morning to end when the event does.

We’re putting on refreshments and nibbles afterwards, giving everyone the chance to stick around, grab a cuppa, have a blether and meet some of the other people who have come along.

That’s what we love about Dunbar. It’s not just about getting people through the door for an workout. It’s about bringing people together.
