A big day for Basingstoke Golf Club.

We’re proud to have officially opened our new home alongside Ian Woosnam, Charley Hull and Charlie Forster.

We had a beautiful morning to start, before, naturally, a proper English downpour rolled in during the afternoon - though this certainly didn’t dampen our spirits.

After five years of work, it was great to see the course, clubhouse and 1907 Academy in full swing, with members and guests enjoying everything our new home has to offer.

A big thank you to our wonderful team who worked tirelessly behind the scenes.

A landmark moment for Basingstoke Golf Club.

Tomorrow marks the official inauguration of the course and our new home. It's safe to say we’re celebrating in true style.

With a double shotgun start, the day will bring together members, guests, and some of the game’s most recognisable names for an unforgettable opening. We’re honoured to welcome Di Stewart alongside golfing greats Charley Hull, Ian Woosnam and Charlie Forster, as we officially mark the beginning of this exciting new chapter.

Here’s to great golf, great company and a day to remember.

The official opening of the club marks an important milestone, alongside the long-anticipated opening of the driving range and a number of exciting projects quietly taking shape behind the scenes. Together, they represent a period of real progress, built with members and the future of the club firmly in mind.⁠

That sense of direction is reinforced by the recent appointment of Jake Field as Course Manager, signalling a clear commitment to long-term development. With plans taking shape both on and off the course, the year ahead feels like an exciting and important chapter for Basingstoke Golf Club.⁠

Basingstoke Golf Club is pleased to announce Jake Field as our new Course Manager.

Jake joins us in February after five years at Edgbaston Golf Club, where he played an important role in guiding the course through a significant period of development. He also brings valuable international experience from PGA National Sweden and Harbour Town Links on the PGA Tour schedule.

With our redesigned downland course set to officially open next spring, this appointment comes at an important moment for the club. Jake’s technical understanding, attention to detail and clear passion for agronomy made him the standout candidate to lead the next stage of our work.

We look forward to welcoming Jake and supporting him as he settles into Basingstoke and begins shaping the course for its future!
