Sam’s House is ready! 🏠🐾

We’ve treated the wood, fitted carpet inside, added a cosy blanket and finished it off with his very own plaque ❤️

🐾 SAM’S SHELTER 🐾

A few people have very kindly offered to contribute towards getting Sam his own little shelter, so we’ve set up a GoFundMe for anyone who would like to chip in ❤️

We’re looking to get him something properly insulated, weatherproof and built to last, giving him somewhere cosy to sleep and somewhere to eat without the local seagulls trying to pinch his dinner! 😂🐦

Anything towards it is really appreciated! Any money raised beyond the cost of the shelter will be used towards Sam’s care 🐈‍⬛🏠

Another clue uncovered… 🐾🔎

Thanks to the power of Facebook, we’ve now discovered how Sam ended up on this side of town.

After Kellwood Engineering closed in 2024, Sam was taken in by a former member of staff in Troqueer. After just a couple of weeks, though, he decided to wander off again and continue his adventures.

Maybe Sam was simply born to roam, but given the great condition he was in when he found us, we still wonder whether he settled somewhere else during those two years.

If you recognise Sam or know anything about where he spent that time, we’d love to hear from you. Every new piece of information helps complete his story, so please keep sharing. 🖤🤍

🐈🧩 Another piece of the puzzle…

We’ve managed to fill in a huge chapter of Sam’s journey!

We now know Sam lived at Kellwood Engineering in Catherinefield Industrial Estate from 2019 until it closed in 2024, which explains a big part of his story.

That leaves us with one remaining mystery…

Where did Sam go after Kellwood Engineering closed in 2024, and how did he eventually find his way to Solway Fitness/TMAC in June 2026?
