Week 7/24
- current physique as of 04/09, weight at 70.15kg
- hit my three runs and the long run was weirdly the best I’ve felt on a run this block and that was day two of my period
- hit 4/5 of the intended training days but it’s better than last week so I’ll take it
-Steps were once again stepping only missed target once which again is an improvement
- we’re onto Queen of Shadows now and honestly, buzzing. It’s so good.
- a new thing to track, my views and followers, my views have increased by around 4k and my follower count by 8 since last week (I’m really trying here)

The September lock in has arrived, we’re down over a kilo since last week and I have high hopes for hitting 6kg down by end of October.

Week 6/24

- tempo run + long run this week, both felt pretty good actually. Maybe didn’t get the times I wanted but it felt much more comfortable than I have recently
- literally only trained once this week 😅 between blood tests + a bad cold it threw my whole week out of whack
- steps were stepping but I didn’t hit my target twice this week so we’re prioritising those next week
-Audio book is nearly done, we are close to the next in the series and I cannot wait!!!
Other thoughts - the lock in must start as I have a goal to lose another 6kg by the end of October (winter arc loading), still not hitting the cardio I need to hit, and still not managing all three runs. So, gotta get on it.

Everything I eat on a training day - minus at least two coffees, at least one Pepsi max and about 4.5l of water or if I’m running that day some electrolytes as well!
Also can you tell I’m a little obsessed with .uk ? I’m a recent convert but in love with their protein and use their flavour powders all the time.

Let’s run it back a little

I studied Physics with Teaching at Strathclyde, and I loved my time there even though a global pandemic hit midway through my second year
I lived with a great group of guys, made some incredible friends who I still talk to daily and had great times
I moved home at the end of 2020 and finished out my degree in Dumfries

I graduated with my degree in 2022, my probation year was about to start in Stranraer, this was what I’d wanted to do since I was 15. I was so ready.
The reality? I hated being isolated from my family in Dumfries, I had several breakdowns in my supporter’s classroom, I had really difficult classes. I thought it would get better when I moved back home for my second year of teaching.
Spoiler alert - it didn’t. I was crying in my car before going into work and my mental health was at an all time low.
I quickly realised teaching was not for me. My road to being a PT started around Nov/Dec 2024 I last taught around Easter 2025

Honestly? None. If I hadn’t gone to Strathy I wouldn’t have met the people I did (some who are so important to me today), or experienced what I did.
I wouldn’t be where I am. Literally. Because one day in 2019 I signed up for Pole Fitness classes, and I met a powerlifter. Who took me to the gym for the first time ever. I fell in love with lifting heavy circles.
So no - I don’t regret the degree, or the experience, and I am so thankful that I went to the gym for the first time because it started this whole journey even if neither of us knew how important that moment would end up being.

Started my journey late 2024 with PureGym Academy, Qualified July 2025 and started Empowered By Jade. I’ve had the absolute pleasure of working with many incredible people so far and can’t wait to do even more with them and help new people realise the strength they have and what they are truly capable of.
This is the new dream and I can’t wait to watch it grow and become even better than I can imagine.

Week 5/24
- current physique as of 21/08 weight is at 71.85kg
- long run + tempo run this week both felt okay even if the long run was slow (it was hot though in fairness) the 5km was the best I’ve felt on a run in what feels like forever
- 5 sessions again this week including a killer one with Rose on Saturday that I’m still feeling today (oww my glutes)
- steps were good this week (helped by the long run tbf) and my walking pad got much use
- Audio book stats down a bit but we are now on to Heir of Fire
Less cardio this week, better head space for most of the week which was good. Goals for next week - try and hit all 3 runs + shift some weight as it’s been hovering around the same numbers for a few weeks

Week 4/24
(Sorry I missed week 3 brain has been doing brain things lately)
- current physique as of 16/08 71.75kg
- managed two runs, long run was supposed to be Sunday but my calf decided to act up so rested instead
- training is back baby 5 sessions smashed out, felt good until Friday where I yawned through my upper session
-steps steps steps - lots of walking during the week then total rest over the weekend so did the bare minimum
-audio book stats at the end, Throne of Glass complete and we’re onto Crown of Midnight
Other things - had a much needed week off work + clients which was amazing, finally booked a long overdue haircut, also did 2 elliptical sessions and my first step class this week. Hoping to keep some momentum this week and settle back into running a bit more as it’s still feeling rough
