Saturdays win on penalties felt like a defeat considering how well the kids played in the first half & in the later stages of the game . Silly errors which proved costly in the end stopped us progressing into the knockout stages of the league cup !

It’s been a great learning curve, playing different formations , kids playing in unfamiliar positions & getting used to the huge pitches .

Onto Saturday now as we prepare for stenhousemuir in the Scottish cup .

⚽️ WHAT A WEEKEND WITH THE TEKKERS BOYS! 🔵⚪️

Another Tekkers Tour complete — and what an incredible weekend it was from start to finish!

We organised this trip as part of our pre-season schedule, with a huge focus on continuing our development in the 11-a-side game.

With a lot of new faces joining the group, we knew this weekend would be invaluable — not only from a football perspective, but for bringing everyone closer together.

Off the pitch, the objective was simple: create new friendships, strengthen the bond between teammates and bring our parents together as a group too.

Job done. 💙

On the pitch, we deliberately looked for fixtures that would put the boys into a “stress environment” — games that would challenge them physically, technically and mentally.

We wanted to face older players, stronger teams and sides already well into their respective league campaigns.

We achieved all of that — and more.

The boys were tested, challenged and pushed outside their comfort zones, and that’s exactly what these trips are all about. It’s not simply about results; it’s about exposing the players to different environments and experiences that will ultimately help their development.

We honestly couldn’t have wished for a better experience.

A massive thank you to Foyle Harps, Phoenix Athletic and Rangers Northern Ireland Academy for the games, hospitality and the part each club played in making the weekend so enjoyable. 🤝⚽️

And a very special mention to Emmet Friars, who arranged a large part of our trip behind the scenes. Everything from start to finish was absolutely seamless, and we genuinely appreciate all the work that went into making it happen.

Plenty of football.
Plenty of laughs.
New friendships made.
A team brought closer together. 💙

A massive thank you to Foyle Harps for their incredible hospitality this evening. 👏

A really good level of football was on show, with both teams looking to get the ball down and play at every opportunity. It made for a brilliant game and exactly the type of challenge we wanted for our players.

Huge credit to , who ran out deserved winners in the end. 👏

From our point of view, we’re delighted with the overall performance. Plenty of positives to take away, some really good football played and another valuable experience for the group as we continue to develop.

Most importantly, the game was played in a fantastic spirit from start to finish. 🤝⚽️

Thanks again for your hospitality, guys — it was very much appreciated! 💙
