League game result:
Dumbarton- 5
Barrhead - 2

The boys put another 3 points on The board with a very hard fought victory against an excellent Barrhead side.
After the last victory against Knightswood we asked the boys to put in the same shift and application and that they did.
Dumbarton were missing 3 players due to illness and holidays but they all put in a great shift and worked there socks off.
A superb double from Jayden Watson, a return goal for Calum McNeil, and well deserved goals from Rafa Osagie and big Aiden Kelly made sure we won the game.
Barrhead made us work the whole day, they are a very good side.
Next up is a double header against Gleniffer 🟡⚫️🟡⚫️🟡⚫️

On Saturday the boys probably put in one of there best performances of the season with a deserved 4-1 victory against title favourites Knightswood.
Every Dumbarton player played there part in the game that was played in pretty challenging conditions.
Goals were scored by Leo McCrae, Arran Graham, Conor Mcmenamin and rounded off by Aiden Kelly.
We have a free week on Saturday coming due to the Easter Holidays, next up is Barrhead.

Today the boys make the short trip up the A82 to face Drumchapel at the Donald Dewer centre in the league.
After last weeks magnificent performance the boys will be looking to match or better that.
Kickoff is 1pm. 🟡⚫️🟡⚫️🟡⚫️

Greenock Juniors- 0
Dumbarton- 8

Today the boys put in one of there best performances of the season with a very impressive 8-0 victory against Greenock Juniors.
Dumbarton again started with new signing Wahab Ahmed in goals and for the second week in a row got a shut out.
Dumbarton bossed the game from start to finish. There was some magnificent football on display.
Arran Graham produced a very impressive hat-trick.
Kyle Reynolds produced a very impressive double.
And single goals from Jayden Watson, Rafa Osagie and Kyle Reid finished off the scoring.
Next week we are off on our travels again to face Drumchapel.

Paisley 1st Division result:
St Anthony’s- 0
Dumbarton- 2

Today the boys picked up 3 points away to St Anthony’s at Mossedge.
During the week 1st choice goalkeeper Corey McGowan got injured after a freak accident so we had to go out and sign a new goalie, we signed ex Dumbarton United goalkeeper Wahab Ahmed. All the players made Wahab feel welcome and he had a fine game, 1st game and a shutout.
The game was only 30 seconds old when Calum McNeil opened the scoring after some brilliant pressing.
The game started to open up and both teams had chances but it was big Aiden Kelly who scored the second goal to pick up all 3 points.
Next week we are away to Greenock Juniors ⚫️🟡⚫️🟡⚫️🟡

On Saturday we head to Linwood to face St Anthony’s in the league. Should be a cracker .⚫️🟡⚫️🟡⚫️🟡

Drumchapel -3

Dumbarton played there first league game in months today against a well disciplined Drumchapel team.
Both teams played end to end football on what was a very cold February afternoon.
Dumbarton opened the scoring through a scrappy jack Murdoch goal ( might have been a OG), the drum equalised then Calum McNeil made it 2-1. Just before the break Drumchapel levelled to make it 2-2.
Half way through the second half Calum McNeil made it 3-2 then Arran Graham made it 4-2.
Drumchapel never gave up and snatched a goal just before the end to make it 4-3.
Not the best performance but glad to get the 3 points.

Tomorrow (Saturday 14th Feb) the boys play there first league game since November against Drumchapel.
Kickoff is 2-30pm at Argyll Park.
If you want to get away from all the valentines shenanigans then get yourself down to cheer on the boys.

Knightswood 2

Dumbarton exited the league cup with a lacklustre display against high flying Knightswood.
Both teams had sickness and injury concerns but it was Knightswood that adjusted from the first whistle and to be fair never looked like being in any danger.
We are much better than we showed yesterday so back to the training ground and dust ourselves down for nexts weeks game against drumchapel.

Tomorrow we welcome a very inform Knightswood to Argyll Park in the league cup.
After last week’s heartbreak losing on penalties to Westdykes we will be looking to progress to the next round.
Kickoff is 12-20pm. ⚫️🟡⚫️🟡⚫️🟡

Scottish Cup 1/4 Final result:

Westdykes- 1
Dumbarton- 1

Westdykes win 5-4 on penalties.

Gutted for the boys today, we put so much into this game and at the end it just wasn’t enough. All the best to Westdyke Community Club who progress into the semis.

Tomorrow the boys face Westdykes in the Scottish cup quarter final, after defeating Spartans in the last round the boys will be confident.
