Run report Event 249

Slightly damp and blustery conditions for event 249 at Levengrove today

We welcomed 160 runners and walkers today, supported by our amazing volunteers, including our pacers. There were 12 first timers running their first ever parkrun and 27 first timers to Levengrove
We had visitors from Kentucky, Dubai, the Netherlands, Bath, London, Nottingham, Chippenham and Arbroath today. We hope you enjoyed your parkrun/walk and thank you for visiting us 🌲

🚨🚨 We have cancelled next week due to a lack of volunteers 🚨🚨

Levengrove parkrun will return on the 27th of June, and Sharon is our RD.

This is a special milestone for us, as we are celebrating our 250th event 🎉

Looking forward to seeing you all in 2 weeks ☺️

❗️Levengrove parkrun is cancelled next Saturday (20th June)❗️

The survey we put out confirmed our suspicions that very few volunteers and participants were going to be around to make parkrun happen. Hopefully an early cancellation helps everyone make other plans.

We will be back on 27th June to celebrate our 250th event. If you can volunteer please let us know.

With a big World Cup game the night before and Run Loch Lomond on 20th June, we need to check we’ll have enough volunteers and parkrunners to go ahead next Saturday (20th June).

We are good to go tomorrow (13th June) and hope to see you there.

Run Loch Lomond is on and Scotland are playing a World Cup game late the night before, so we’re keen to check we’ll have enough volunteers and runners/walkers for Levengrove parkrun to go ahead.

Levengrove parkrun #248 welcomed 156 participants to a lovely June morning beside the Clyde.

We were pleased to see 36 first timers join us this week, along with 22 new PBs. First finisher was Michael McCallum in 18:39, with Georgia Callander first female home in 20:44. The highest age grades of the day went to Andy Law and Jackie Theaker.

A nod to visiting parkrunners Jason Searles (576 parkruns) and Cathrine Grisdale (469) for adding Levengrove to their impressive totals.

Huge thanks to all our volunteers, including Kumar Dadi volunteering for the first time. Pacers are back next week, and Maureen will be donning the blue vest — if you’re able to help out, please get in touch. Volunteering makes parkrun happen.

Same time next Saturday — see you there!
