Events 9-12 of the JDC this weekend in Bristol. I went this weekend with no expectations. I haven't been playing my best darts recently and have been struggling to find some consistent form.

Overall I am really pleased with how I played this weekend. I am still having some loose darts but I managed to find more trebles this weekend than I have been recently.

Foundation Tour 9 🎯 Top 32
Foundation Tour 10 🎯 Top 128
Foundation Tour 11 🎯 Top 16
Foundation Tour 12 🎯 Top 32

Came away with 4 points which has moved me up to 18th in the rankings out of 183 kids with 12 points in total.

The last few weeks have been a battle for me, I feel that I'm starting to see improvements and I know if I continue to work hard in practice I know I can get back to playing to my best.

I would like to say thank you to my Dad, Lee Gripton and my Mom Elizabeth Gripton for giving up all their time to take me to Bristol on these weekends, it costs lots of money for me to do these events and I do appreciate everything you do for me.

Phase 2 of the JDC Foundation Tour this weekend. After a disappointing first day, today was the best day I have had at hanger 61.

Made the semi final in events 3 and 4, narrowly missing out on the final. Getting to the last 4 twice out of 130 kids is a big achievement for me. I am really happy with how I played today and I hope I can take this form into the Grand Prix next weekend.

I would like to say thank you to my Dad, Lee Gripton and my Mom Elizabeth Gripton for giving up all their time to take me to Bristol on these weekends, it costs lots of money for me to do these events and I do appreciate everything you do for me.

Events 1 & 2 of JDC Foundation Tour Phase 2 Today 🎯

Been struggling recently with my form. Was really pleased with how I played at the Grand Prix and was hoping to kick on but it hasn't happened.

Played the start of Vault 18 and I was struggling with my throw so my parents and me decided to reduce the amount of tournaments I've been doing. I have a new practice schedule which I'm following and hopefully this will help me start to improve.

I played an under 65 average last Tuesday and got to the semi final; was pleased with how I played and was unlucky not to make the final. Played a vault on Wednesday and didn't get out the group but did get a win against Dan Nicholls. Dan didn't play as well as he can but I managed to take my chances.

I am going to work hard this week as we are in Bristol for the JDC this weekend. I just hope I can improve and play as well as I know I can play.

I would like to say a big thank you to my dad Lee Gripton and my mom Elizabeth Gripton for taking me everywhere. I do appreciate everything you do for me.

Went to Bristol yesterday for the WDF England Youth Grand Prix. Didn't play my best in my group games. It was a very tight group with some really good players. I won 4 lost 3 and came 3rd in my group doing enough to reach the knock out.

In the knockouts I played really well. In the last 64 coming back from 2-0 down to win. In the last 32 won 3-0, I played well, scored well & was very clinical on my finishing.

In the last 16 came up against Jayden Walker who is one of the best young players in the country at the minute. I lost 3-2 but to take him to a last leg decider shows what I'm capable of. I was really proud of how I played.

Getting to the last 16 out of 127 youth players is a good achievement.

I would like to say a big thank you to my dad Lee Gripton and my mom Elizabeth Gripton for taking me everywhere. Especially my dad for spending fathers day watching me play darts. I do appreciate everything you do for me.

On the way to Bristol for the England Youth Grand Prix🎯

02/06/2026

Phase 1 of the JDC Foundation Tour is done; this was my first experience of doing a tournament this big, playing against some excellent players from all over the country.

I feel that for my first go I did quite well, once I got over my nerves; I showed that I am more than capable of competing at this level. I came 67th out of 263 players so not bad for my first tour and was 6th for the highest averages over the last weekend. Hopefully in Phase 2 I can do even better.

I played well over the weekend, I didn't get the results I wanted but I was happy with my form and that I showed that I can play under pressure and fight when I go behind.

We have a break now until July, I have come away with some positives but there are still things I know I need to improve on.

I would like to say thank you to my Dad, Lee Gripton and my Mom Elizabeth Gripton for giving up all their time to take me to Bristol on these weekends, it costs lots of money for me to do these events and I do appreciate everything you do for me.
