If you don’t report it, it may as well not have happened.

Our Fisheries Enforcement Support Service has Regional Enforcement Support Managers who are helped greatly by the reports from the Angling Trust’s Voluntary Bailiffs (VB’s). The VB’s receive support and training, being constantly reminded to report everything they see to the relevant authorities. This same reminder goes out to all of you, because if you see something suspicious and don’t report it, it may as well not have happened.

Always contact the Environment Agency 24hr hotline on 0800 80 70 60, as well as the Police on 101, or 999 in emergencies.

Our Enforcement work is funded by rod licence income delivered in partnership with the Environment Agency.

The Angling Trust Voluntary Bailiff Service is growing and you can be part of the positive change.

Thanks to further funding through Environment Agency rod licence sales, the Voluntary Bailiff Service is expanding and we are taking on more of you to help us care for our waters and prevent poaching and fish theft. If you are one of those that regularly walks the banks, or has a few spare hours each week to protect the lakes and rivers then you can sign up today. All training is provided, as well as the necessary kit, and you will join a great community of like-minded anglers all pulling in the same direction. NOTICE TO ALL ANGLERS FISHING ANYWHERE FROM THE STOURBRIDGE CANAL UP TO THE WATERFRONT DUDLEY NO. 1 CANAL ON SUNDAY 26TH NOVEMBER 2023.

Message from Stuweb Time Racing:

Just to make you aware, we are running our annual 9 Locks Challenge 10km run on Sunday 26th November 2023.

There will be around 200 runners taking part along the canal paths starting from The Bonded Warehouse, Stourbridge at 10:00am heading to The Hop House, Waterfront until roughly 12.30pm.

We appreciate your co-operation on this and hope to be able to provide a safe and successful event.
