The Smith Machine ππΌππΌ
This is one of my go to pieces of equipment inside the gym!
I can't even say how much I used to be scared of using the piece of equipment! π« I guess it does look kind of scary!
It's great to use if your stuck for time or if the gym is busy as you can do multiple exercises both for upper & lower body!
In this video I'm doing Single Leg Deadlifts π This targets both my Glutes & Hamstrings! I ensure that I'm using a Hip hinge to maintain correct form, also stretching out my leg to target the Glute at the top of the movement. You need to ensure you don't go too heavy at first, ensure you are stable & your balance is key π
You can also do this exercise ensuring both legs are not moved, you can then start to add on weight as you progress. I also perform back squats, Lunges, bent over Rows, bench press, seated shoulder press. So many variations are possible. Don't be scared to try out new pieces of equipment your gym may have, spend some time researching how to use it correctly & then kill it guys!! πͺπΌπͺπΌ
