Today is Forest School Day! 🍂🌿🍁

It is a Day to Celebrate and if somebody would have said to me 10 Years ago that I would now be working in one of the most Beautiful Places imaginationable that will always have a piece of my Heart ❤️ and spending 90% of my time Outdoors in Nature 🌿 be it with the Children or with the Animals at Jasmine Road Community Gardens I wouldn't have believed them.

But here we are many years on and with Thanks to the support 🙏 of 2 Absolutely Amazing Talented People I met along the way in this Journey Guy from Roberts Primary School & Ruth from Fruits of The Forest I can honestly say I throughly enjoy what I do and adore being Outdoors with the Children and seeing them thrive to become Strong, Independent and Confident in their own Ability to acomplise things they thought they couldn't do and in turn develop a love for Nature is worth more than anything money can buy.

I wouldn't change a second of it and I am so glad I took that leap of faith and I love my work and in turn my own 2 Boys have also found their love for the Outdoors !! ❤️

We had another Brilliant Monthly Family Cooking Session at Sycamore Adventure a couple of weeks ago now with The Good Life The Good Life Project where we made our own Spaghetti Bolognese 🍝

The Children got stuck in Chopping the Onions 🧅 and Garlic 🧄 Peeling and Chopping the Carrots 🥕Celery and Mushrooms before adding the Beef Mince. They then added the Tinned Tomatoes, Tomato Puree and Beef Stock and left it to simmer while we Boiled the Spaghetti. When it was ready we served with Parmesan Cheese 🧀

It was very Yummy 😋

Can't wait for the next one on Monday 20th October where we will be making Chilli Con Carne and our own Garlic Bread 🧄🍞

We think it just sums up perfectly the Fun and Laughter we have in Nature School 🤣❤️ and the Imagination of the Children when you let them just be Free in Nature 🌿 It really does bring out the best in them 😊

We really enjoyed the Nurture Session on Thursday at Jasmine Road Community Gardens aimed at Children with SEND and SEMH Needs and their Families

We got to Meet the Therapy Animal Team 🐾 The Ferret Boys, Rabbits, Chickens and of course our 3 Pigs 🐖 who enjoyed a Banana 🍌 and an Apple 🍎 or 2

We did a bit of Nature Crafting where we Tie-Dyed 🌈 our own Resuable Bags ♻️

While we were waiting for them to dry there was time to explore the Mud Kitchen and Potion Station before we finished the Session round the Campfire 🔥 with some Popcorn 🍿 which the Children loved watching pop on the Fire.

Then it was time to unveil our Creations.....Don't they look Beautiful ❤️

The Summer Club Children had a Sneaky Peak and got to Play in the New Mud Kitchen built by the very Talented Team at Play to Measure

This has been funded with help from Roberts Primary School, Roberts Primary School Handy Helpers the Parent Fundraising Group who supports the School and also ourselves Wild Things Nature School

Huge Thank you to everyone involved 🙏for making this vision come alive for our Children

It's going to put so many Smiles on Faces and I can't wait for the Forest School Cafe to be open again and see what they serve me now.....

Last time it was Worm Cake 🪱 and Hot Chocolate ☕️ 🤣

Massive Thank you 🙏 to Keith, Sam and Glen from the Fantastic Play to Measure for our Beautiful Mud Kitchen in the Ezone at Roberts Primary School.

We discussed with them exactly what we wanted to fit in with the surroundings and they made it to fit in perfectly and it looks like it has always been there. Absolutely Love it!!!! ❤️

Can't wait to see the Children's Faces when they come back in September........

We had another Fabulous Monthly Family Cooking Session at Sycamore Adventure on Monday Night with The Good Life Project where we made our own Chicken Curry 🍛

It was so Great to see the Children getting stuck in Chopping the Onions 🧅, Crushing the Garlic 🧄 adding the Seasoning, and then adding the Chicken, Curry Paste and Tomatoes until it was all Cooked through ready to eat 😋

Can't wait for the next one on Monday 22nd September where we will be making Spaghetti Bolognese 🍛

We will be there tomorrow supporting our Friends at Sycamore Adventure and Sycamore Adventure CIO for their 1st ever Pride Event ❤️🌈❤️ It's going to be Amazing!!!!

They will be making Rainbow Hand ✋️ and Foot Prints 🌈 for the little ones with New Baby Network CIC , Face Painting with Magic Memories Events and Entertainment and Sound Bath or Mediation by Bluebell and Boo ❤️

As well as all the usual Soft Play, Water Play, Sand, Swings, Trampoline, Den Building

We can't wait!!! ❤️

We did a bit of Nature Crafting Rock Painting and Making Clay Sculptures then we made our own Pizzas 🍕 to cook on the Campfire.

While they were Cooking there was time to explore the Mud Kitchen and Potion Station before we finished the Session round the Campfire 🔥 with some Tasty Smores.

I really do look forward to these Monthly Family Cooking Sessions at Sycamore Adventure and getting the Children interested in where their Food comes 🥔🫑from and teaching them how to Grow it 🌱

That is something that is so important to me ❤️ and sets them up for life so it's Fantastic to see them getting stuck in and enjoying it.

In these Monthly Sessions we will show you how to make Easy, Tasty Meals for your Family with Ingredients you will most likely have at Home already and for the Fresh Ingredients you can either have a go at Growing at Home 🌱 or with us at Sycamore Adventure in our Brand New Growing Space "The Lost Gardens of Sycamore" 🍅🥔🌶

This Month we are making a Homemade Chicken Curry 🍛

Don't worry if you don't have any experience of Cooking you don't need it, we will teach you everything you need to be a Mini Masterchef 👨‍🍳 before you know it 🤣
