UPDATE ON JUDICIAL REVIEW πŸ‘‡

We can confirm that our judicial review against the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) is now progressing before the High Court, challenging the decision of 18 February 2026 to refuse consent to seek a retrial following the killing of Ryan Passey.

The DPP has asked the Court to refuse our application, arguing that our claim amounts to no more than disagreement with his decision.

This is simply not the case. This legal action has been brought because we believe there are serious and arguable errors in how the decision was reached, and no family would risk the significant financial hardship and personal cost of these proceedings merely because they disagree.

The new material now relied upon only emerged after years of further investigation, independent review, and detailed analysis.

The High Court will now decide whether the case should proceed to a full hearing.

β€œFor our family, this has always felt like a David versus Goliath battleβ€”but the most important thing is the truth for Ryan. It cannot be right that evidence which has only come to light after years of fresh investigations and independent reviews is treated as if it should have been obvious all along. We have fought for years to uncover what really happened, and we will continue to do so because the truth matters above everything else.”

β€œThe truth did not come out at the trialβ€”it has taken years of work by different teams to uncover it, and no one should benefit from the fact it was hidden or not properly understood at the time.”

If you can support us, we have launched an online fundraising appeal to help towards our legal costs. Details can be found at: https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/jason-connon-567

Thank you everyone for your continued love & support

Kewford tournament winners under 12 girls

Going into the tournament, we made the decision to split our squad into two teams β€” Team A and Team B. Whenever you do that, there’s always a bit of uncertainty. But what happened next was something really special.

Both teams were outstanding from the very first game. They worked hard for each other, defended brilliantly, played with confidence, and showed the quality that we’ve seen growing all season.

What makes their achievement even more remarkable is that neither team conceded a single goal throughout the tournament. Not one. That takes commitment, teamwork, concentration, and determination from every single player, from the goalkeeper right through to the forwards.

As the day went on, both teams kept progressing, winning games and overcoming every challenge put in front of them. Then came the final β€” and what a final it was.

Out of all the teams in the tournament, it came down to our own girls. Team A versus Team B. A final guaranteed to be won by our club, but one that showed just how strong this group really is.

The game was incredibly competitive, with both teams giving everything they had. Neither side could find a way through, which was no surprise considering how well they had defended all day. So it came down to penalties.

Penalties are never easy. They take courage, composure, and belief. Every player involved should be immensely proud of themselves. In the end, one team lifted the trophy, but the truth is that every single girl was a winner on Saturday.

The trophy may have gone to one team, but the success belongs to the whole squad. The support they showed each other, the respect they played with, and the way they represented the club made us all proud.

To the players: enjoy this achievement. You’ve earned it. Your hard work in training, your commitment to each other, and your determination were there for everyone to see.

And to the parents, families, and supporters, thank you for everything you do. Your encouragement and support help make days like Saturday possible.

Congratulations to all of our Under-12 girls. To have both teams reach the final without conceding a goal is an amazing achievement, and one that everyone at the club should be proud of.

Well done, girls β€” Kewford Tournament champions
