🎯 Friday Night Target Challenge! 🎯

Our new target mat has brought a fun new competition to Friday nights at Drumlithie following our hat games!

Each player gets 4 bowls to see who can score the highest. Out of a total of 48 bowls, we managed to land 5 bowls on the target mat... not bad at all! 😉🤩

There's definitely room for improvement, plenty of friendly competition, and lots of laughs along the way!

Why not come along next Friday and give it a go? Everyone is welcome, whether you're a regular bowler or just fancy trying something new. 💙

Good luck to all our players taking part in the Palmer Trophy this Saturday at Stonehaven. We hope you all have a fantastic day and enjoy some great bowls.

Best of luck as well to our team as it joins forces with players from Cookney for the annual friendly match against Newtonhill BC on Sunday.

What a beautiful evening for a game of bowls! ☀️

A big well done to both our home and away teams for representing Drumlithie Bowling Club in tonight's Kincardine League matches against Edzell BC.

Home: 14–4
Away: 12–20

Congratulations to our home team on a great win, and well done to the away team for their efforts against tough opposition.

Most importantly, we're delighted to come away with 3 valuable league points. Well done, everyone! 💙

A huge thank you to everyone who attended and supported our Open Pairs Competition.

After a little drizzle at the start, the weather soon brightened into a beautiful day, providing perfect conditions for some fantastic bowls. It was wonderful to see such great sportsmanship, friendly banter, and enjoyment both on and off the green throughout the day.

Firstly, a huge congratulations to Neil M and Neil B on a fantastic week at the Hillside Pairs. They played some excellent bowls throughout the first three rounds but were beaten in the semi-finals tonight. A great achievement 👏💙

Tonight, our Kincardine League teams were up against our friends from Newtonhill BC. It was also wonderful to welcome Carol back onto the green.

Results:

🚗 Away: Drumlithie 12–19 Newtonhill

What a beautiful evening for the final of the Gallan Trophy! ☀️
Congratulations to both Derek and Neil H on a fantastic match. There was some great bowling from both players, with Neil's strong finish over the last few ends securing him the victory.
A big thank you to John for marking the game, to Gladys Gallan for her delicious fine pieces, and to June for the lovely sandwiches.
It was wonderful to see so many past and present members at the club supporting both players and enjoying a great evening of bowls. 💙

The Week Ahead at Drumlithie Bowling Club

Good luck to all of our members taking part in the Friockheim Open Pairs today, and those competing in the Hillside Open Pairs competition during the week ahead. 💙

On Monday at 6.30pm, we look forward to the final of our Gallan Trophy. Best of luck to Derek and Neil H. We hope it's a great final.

Then on Thursday evening, our Kincardine League teams are at home and away to Newtonhill.
