One of the biggest things that will improve your command of the box? Your voice. 🧤🗣️

When you're coming for a cross, you need to be LOUD. Let your defenders, the attackers, and everyone else know that the ball is yours.

Don't be afraid to be commanding,you can see everything in front of you, and your teammates rely on your communication. A strong, confident call helps prevent collisions, avoids confusion, and gives your defenders the confidence to leave the ball for you.

Goalkeeper session with Kendrick 🧤

Working on staying on your toes and hitting the set position early. When you’re flat footed, you’re more likely to go backwards on the shot but being active keeps you balanced, ready, and able to go forwards into the save.

Kendrick listened and took this on board 👏

As a coach, still playing semi professional!

The first image shows Carter's initial technique when dealing with a cross.

After focusing on communication, attacking the ball at its highest point, and driving the knee for protection, the second image shows immediate improvement.

A great example of how clear coaching points and repetition can quickly build confidence and effective habits!
