Our Under 8 Blacks were up bright and early today for the trip to Doncaster United, where they were seeded into the top Champions League group.

🥈 Runners-up on the day! 🏆

Playing 7v7 football, the boys were outstanding from start to finish. Their work rate, determination and teamwork were excellent, covering every blade of grass and doing the club proud.

🧤 Josh was superb between the sticks, making some excellent saves and showing great composure with his feet to help build attacks from the back.

🛡️ Jayden was a machine in defence, timing his challenges brilliantly and using his strength well to protect the ball and win possession. (PARENTS PLAYER OF THE TOURNAMENT)

⚽ Dan played everywhere except in goal and worked relentlessly throughout, helping the team both defensively and going forward.

🎯 Rory read the game brilliantly, making important interceptions and consistently finding the right pass to keep us moving.

💨 Ellis was like a whippet all day, full of energy with quick feet, a few cheeky nutmegs and a well-deserved goal to cap off a great performance.

✨ Dougie impressed in a variety of midfield roles, showing great skill on the ball and contributing with an important assist.

💪 Archie was a steamroller in the holding midfield role, battling hard and giving the opposition no space or time on the ball.

🚂 Harry was, once again, the tank engine of the team. Week after week he covers more ground than anyone and never stops working for the side.

🔥 Louie showed tremendous character today. He was kicked, pushed and wrestled throughout a frustrating afternoon, but never let his head drop. His persistence was rewarded in the semi-final with a brilliantly dinked finish over the goalkeeper. We reminded him that players receive that attention because they’re a threat, and learning to deal with it will only make him an even stronger player.

A fantastic effort from all the boys to reach the final and finish runners-up in a very strong tournament. Plenty to be proud of today. 👏

Our Under 11’s (next season 12s) played in the Staveley MW Football Tournament today without a keeper (our forward stepped up and kept goal) and up against sides of all levels, including 3 above us.

Over to Manager Chris…

The lads were excellent throughout, winning 5 of 7 group games, keeping 8 clean sheets, finishing second in the group and sadly losing 0-1 in the final, a game that could have gone either way.

The boys should be really proud of their performance today. They were all on top form and showed us what they’re capable of. Another tournament next week before the summer break and pre-season friendlies. Already very excited about next season!

🖤🤍 U9 Whites (next season’s U10s) – Tournament Runners-Up 🖤🤍

Our Under 9 Whites travelled to Doncaster United today for what proved to be a highly competitive tournament.

A tough group stage tested the boys from the outset, but they showed great character and determination to secure their place in the knockout rounds. An exciting semi-final then went all the way to penalties, with the lads holding their nerve to book their place in the final.

Unfortunately, it wasn’t to be in the final, but the boys can be incredibly proud of their efforts. Every player ran their socks off, worked tirelessly for one another, and produced some excellent football throughout the day.

A special mention goes to Alex and Edward, who were deservedly named Players of the Tournament for their outstanding work rate, creativity, and influence on the team.

🥈 A fantastic second-place finish and another great day representing the club.

Well done, lads! 👏⚽🖤🤍🩵

Our Under 8 Blacks travelled to Staveley yesterday morning and produced a fantastic performance from start to finish. The boys were switched on from the first whistle, playing some excellent football throughout the tournament and deservedly finishing as champions once again. Ole, ole! 🏆👏

🧤 Jacob was calm and composed between the sticks, conceding just two goals all tournament and providing a solid foundation for the team.

⚽ Noah was, as always, rock solid defensively and topped off his day with an absolute screamer when playing on the left wing.

🎯 Rory was strong in every battle, with his vision and passing right on point throughout.

🚂 Harry ran his socks off and put in a tremendous shift, showing fantastic effort from start to finish.

💃 Alan returned after a short injury lay-off and looked like he’d never been away, arriving with both his dancing shoes and scoring boots on!

🇮🇹🐂 Tino delivered a proper performance today. No soggy margarita pizza here – he was a full meat feast with extra jalapeños! Fierce in the tackle and brilliant in his battles.

💪 Matthew, Mr Consistent, worked tirelessly, got stuck in, and never backed down from a challenge.

🥅 Bobby was the ultimate goal sniffer, putting his body on the line and scoring the winning goal in the final.

👏 Dan produced a complete performance. Whatever job needed doing, he got it done. A real all-round display.

⭐ Dougie, Mr Reliable, showed great feet, an excellent work rate and capped it off with a well-taken finish.

🖤 Louie wore the captain’s armband with pride, leading by example with his work rate, quality play and goals.

A brilliant team effort from every single player. The football, attitude and teamwork on show today were outstanding.

🏆 Champions again! Well done, boys! 🖤🤍🩵⚽
