We’re proud to play a small part in supporting local sport across Worcestershire.

A winning weekend for Droitwich Spa Ladies Football Club🤩
The Firsts now sit top of the league after a well earned and well fought 3-2 victory against Leamington.
The Devs took all 3 points in their game vs Wyre Forest with an outstanding 7-2 victory.

First game of 2026 and the Devs were straight back to it as they took on Kingfisher Development.

From the off the Devs moved the ball well, creating plenty of attacking opportunities and defending well at the other end with the keeper making some key saves the first half ended 0-0.

Second half the Devs went out with even more intensity to try open the scoring, playing well with some great link up between our forward players we just couldn’t find the end product. Kingfisher got 2 long range goals in quick succession, but the Devs were determined, a great ball from Faye Davey saw Ellie Green skip past their defence and fire the ball into the back of the net making it 2-1. Kingfisher found their 3rd off the back of a great attack from the Devs, finishing the game 3-1.

Despite the result, it was an outstanding performance from the Development Team. The scoreline doesn’t reflect just how well the team played, the effort, intensity, and quality on display were there for all to see, we go again next week away vs Kempsey❤️🖤

Everyone at Droitwich Spa Ladies Football Club is heartbroken during this festive period.

Last week, one of our Development Team players suffered the unimaginable loss of her son, Bobby. Bobby was a true light in our lives and our number one supporter on the sidelines, always bringing warmth and joy to those around him.

This is a devastating loss for his family and one that we feel deeply as a club and as a team. We have shared a GoFundMe link below to help support the family with funeral costs. Any contribution, no matter how small, would be greatly appreciated during this incredibly difficult time.

Rest in peace, Bobby. You will forever live on in our hearts and memories and will be deeply missed ❤️
