🏓We're back tomorrow! 🏓

We'll be opening our doors from 7pm till 9pm for our open play session. Come see us and bring your bat for some practice.

⚠️ NO PRACTICE TOMORROW - 13th August 2026 ⚠️

The Met Office has put out an Amber weather warning for heat starting 9am tomorrow until midnight. UKHSA has then also issued an Amber Heat-Health which indicates there will be likely effects to public health. This means, we have once again taken the decision to close the club for practice this Thursday.

Although we'll be closed tomorrow, we will for those interested, still go to the pub to keep the social side of the club going. We'll arrange to be at The Old C**k Inn, Friar Street, Droitwich Spa, WR9 8EQ. for 8pm.

This summer has been relentless on our schedule and we've never had to close for heat in the entire of the clubs existence since 1989 but with temperature records being broken every month since May, we find ourselves with our 3rd closure for heat in the space of a few weeks.

I can only apologise for all the disruption, I want to carry on and play as much as anyone but we have to safeguard and put people's health first.

Thank you for your understanding and hopefully we're good to continue on next week.

NO SESSION TONIGHT - POWER OUTAGE

I'm really sorry to be the bearer of bad news. The school have been in contact in the last 30 mins and told us that there is a site wide power outage currently and it will not be fixed in time for our session tonight at 7pm so they have cancelled our session.

Please can you spread the word amongst your teammates in the summer league or anyone you may know who was planning to attend the practice session.

I cannot apologise enough that this is another cancellation meaning we've only met once in the last 5 weeks. We keep being delt bad luck with weather, school hires and now this power outage as the latest reason.

Our next session is now booked in for next Thursday and lets have everything crossed that there are no disruptions and we can get back playing in a normal weekly routine.

🚨 IMPORTANT CLUB NOTICE: TEMPORARY CLOSURE 🚨

Due to the Amber Heat-Health Alert issued by the UK Health Security Agency for the West Midlands, we have made the decision to close the Droitwich Spa Community Table Tennis Club tomorrow, Thursday 9th July.

The UKHSA alert is in place from 9 am today until 9 pm this coming Sunday. Given the extreme temperatures, the safety and well-being of our community is our top priority, and the playing environment will not be suitable for physical activity.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation. Please stay safe, keep hydrated, and we look forward to seeing you back at the tables soon! 🏓☀️
