We cater for all abilities and all ages from 8 to 88. We regularly hold beginner courses for those wanting to take up the sport and have a British Academy of Fencing coach for those that need to improve.

The metal foils used for fencing are flexible, with a rounded tip, and bend rather than cause injury. The protective clothing can withstand up to 350 N of force so it’s all perfectly safe. A good contact between foil and the jacket of your opponent is all that is needed, it’s not necessary to hit hard.
