She’s one of our own!

Huge congratulations to our very own Gemma Glenister who this week has been awarded full PGA Professional status. Gemma passed all exams with flying colours and super high results. Having been awarded Midlands trainee of the year in her first two years Gemma now begins a career sure to take her far. Gemma’s golfing life started at Ombersley before the turn of the century and she still holds the course record of 70, after carding a course record 73, established way back in 2008 before she left school. Having initially chosen a different career path Gemma has now found her calling and is destined to be a leader in her field.

Father, General Manager and PGA Professional himself Graham said; Gemma excels and makes her mum and I extremely proud. She drives and strives for perfection and demands the most from herself. Her attention to detail is first class. Golf is a fantastic lifestyle choice. Working in the industry is extremely lucky and rewarding. Doing it with your daughter as your sidekick is simply perfect. Gemma has also faced challenges far tougher than finding the middle of a fairway during her years. Her journey and life story is inspirational. My chest is bursting. Until she hits the next drive past me.
