πŸ₯ˆ Daniel Geisler (Club_Coaction) 2nd in 21:58

πŸ₯‰ Stuart Day (Ely & District CC) 3rd in 22:07 - fresh from strong rides at both of our recent 2-Ups, he's fast becoming a regular fixture near the top of our results

πŸ‘ David Lynes first home for the club in 4th (22:38, a PB), with Steve Craner and Peter Mulligan right behind - just 8 seconds covered 4th to 6th place.

🚲 Philip Hunt another great road bike ride in 8th, and 13 personal bests on the night in total - a proper send-off for the 10-mile format before we move into the Sprint and Hillclimb specials.

League Decider at Flyford Flavel - EPIC racing!

What a way to close out the North Worcestershire 2-Up League. Round 5 at Flyford Flavel delivered a proper sprint finish to the season - fast times, tight gaps, and 14 personal bests along the way.

πŸ† David Lynes & Rikky Hughes made it back-to-back wins, following up their Great Witley victory with another at Flyford in 21:49 - averaging 27.5mph on a course they clearly know well.

πŸ₯ˆ Joe Tyler & Steve Craner right on their heels in 22:07 - just 18 seconds separated 1st and 2nd over 10 miles!

πŸ₯‰ A brilliant ride from Stuart Day, riding solo all the way from Ely & District CC, taking 3rd overall in 22:43 - exactly the kind of League-wide competition this event was made for.

🚲 Team V-Sprint Racing had a strong night, with two pairs inside the top 6 Chris Woods & Damian Cartland 4th, David Wilson & Glynn Rossant 6th.

Plenty more good riding further down - Peter Mulligan & Tom Kenderdine, Jessica Posnett & Paul Mansfield, Joe Homer & Marcus Bufton, Paul Felton & Phil Smith and Adrian Brookes & Glenn Wilkinson all inside the top 10, with John Homer (Redditch Road and Path) flying solo again to round out the results.

Huge thanks to every club that came down across the League this year, and to everyone who's marshalled, timed and organised over the five rounds. What a way to bring it home.

2-Up TT at Great Witley - results are in!

Round 4 of the North Worcestershire 2-Up League brought a proper mixed field to Great Witley last night - pairs and solo riders from Droitwich, Halesowen, Raz Ladz, Triathlon Redditch, Beacon Roads and Wyre Forest all out on the 17-mile course. And it was a fast one: 20 personal bests from 20 riders, with the median time nearly two and a half minutes quicker than this course has historically produced.

πŸ† David Lynes & Rikky Hughes took the win in 40:19

πŸ₯ˆ Andrew Overton & Peter Mulligan just 2 seconds back in 40:21 - about as close as a 17-mile 2-up gets!

πŸ₯‰ Daniel Ascroft & Nicholas Huins (Halesowen) in 40:51 - great to see Daniel back after his solo win at Himbleton, this time teamed up and on the podium again

4th: Joe Tyler & Steve Craner (41:26)
5th: Damian Cartland & Jack Cotterill (44:02)

🚲 Road bike shout-out: from 5th right through to 9th, every pairing was riding road bikes - brilliant efforts from Cartland & Cotterill, Aldridge & Rogers (Raz Ladz), Posnett & Mansfield, Mitchell & Elliott (Triathlon Redditch), and Felton & Smith.

πŸ‘€ Solo riders delivered too - exactly as promoted, Richard Kings (Beacon Roads CC) and Cora O'Mahony (Wyre Forest CRC) both rode unpaired and set PBs of their own.

Thanks to every club that sent riders and pairs down for this one, and to everyone who marshalled and timed on the night.

Also thanks to Martin Stanley for capturing some of the action!

Himbleton Club 10 - results are in!

Cracking turnout at Himbleton (K32/10) tonight - and the win went to a visitor... on a ROAD BIKE!

πŸ† Daniel Ascroft (Halesown A&CC) took the win in 23:05, averaging 26mph - on a road bike, beating every TT machine in the field. Brilliant riding.

πŸ₯ˆ Damion Littlewood (Tri-1st) was 2nd in 23:24

πŸ₯‰ Andrew Overton first home for Droitwich in 23:30 - and what a scrap behind him: Peter Mulligan (23:36) and Steve Craner (23:41) separated by just seconds. Six seconds covered 3rd to 5th!

Martin Stanley 6th (24:24), and Philip Hunt right behind in 7th (24:44) - another superb road bike ride matching it with the TT bikes.

Great to have riders from Halesown A&CC, Tri-1st and out with us - thanks for coming along, and congratulations on taking the win!

🚧 Roadworks, a shortened course, and a whole lot of PBs - Shell Ford Short delivers! 🚧

Best laid plans and all that - roadworks forced a late change to Tuesday's fixture, swapping the full K32/20 for a shortened 10 mile Shell Ford course. First time it's ever been run… and the club responded with an absolute cracker of a night.

πŸ₯‡ Joe Tyler took the win in 22:13 - a new PB and, since nobody's ever ridden this course before, an instant course record too. Averaging over 27mph.

πŸ₯ˆ Andrew Overton (Success Cycling) went second in 23:07, with

πŸ₯‰ Peter Mulligan just 5 seconds further back in 23:12 - a proper scrap for the podium.

Right behind them: Ryder Evans (Dynamic Rides) 4th, and our own Martin Stanley rounding out the top 5 in 24:05.

🚲 Road bike shout-out: brilliant rides from Philip Hunt (6th) and Tom Kenderdine (7th), both matching it with the TT bikes on a brand new course.

πŸ“Š With it being the first-ever running of the course, it's no surprise every single finisher set a personal best - 17 riders, 17 PBs, and 16 medals awarded on the night. A real buzz about the place all evening.

Great to see riders from Success Cycling, Dynamic Rides, ABR Cycle Team, Team V-Sprint Racing and Redditch Road & Path out with us too - thanks for coming along.

As ever, huge thanks to our volunteers who turned the late course change around and got everyone off safely. πŸ™Œ
