My Professors of Biochemistry & Microbiology taught me the foundations of good solid research that stand up to scrutiny and for the good of mankind. This is why I am so much against the rubbish you come across on social media, which is nothing but hype to drive internet traffic their way and make them look important. They over dramatize and over egg everything, because their findings are not based on solid empirical research, which they themselves are not capable of. Social media is not there to educate you, so don't be fooled. It's there to lead you astray from the truth, which is supported by research. You may as well believe the earth is flat !

Don't be surprised if you get Covid more than once in a short period of time. Remember this is a Coronavirus, which is highly mutating, so the chances are you will become infected with different strains and one strain will not (completely) immunise you against another ! It's no different to the time 2 years BC (Before Covid) when people would get a cold then another and another in the same season ...

Lateral Flow Tests - the science of LFT is old and well established e.g Pregnancy test is essentially an LFT and the principles are the same, making use of chromatograph techniques. Only 6 months ago the University of Oxford produced research showing that LFT is 95% accurate when used at the onset of Covid symptoms. It is therefore a good substitute for PCR and is much quicker and cheaper to use. It can even be used in asymptomatic patients. There has been much said about LFT in social media which is inaccurate and misleading. If you want good information go to the BMJ, PHE or some other research driven organisation. Social media is not what I call an intellectual platform and it's no substitute for good unbiased, objective information.
