RETAINED!

Amelia (or 'Ping' as she is otherwise known) will be stepping out in the blue and white for the again this season.
She really grew last year covering a variety of positions in the backline and CDM when needed. She is fearless in her resolve and a good communicator on the pitch.

Next Up:

The face one final test before they begin the new season as we welcome Kingswood Ladies to Cemetery Lane in our final warm up friendly.
The opposition have recently dropped down from Division 1 so will prove a stern test which is our aim to get the ladies fired up for the campaign ahead.

Congratulations to Ellie who is our Player of the Month for August.

Our stalwart Centre Back has been imperious in our pre season friendlies holding the back line and taking on any that come within her orbit. A tower of strength but happy to drive forwards when space allows she is calm under pressure and a formidable force!

Charlotte will be part of the once more this season which we are delighted for. A towering presence on the field who can win ball and duel superbly she normally runs the right wing but is equally adept in central midfield. Her strong right foot can be a real danger from set pieces and we are excited to have her onboard once more.

Payton will once again be part of the for the upcoming season. She is a really versatile player who can be deployed anywhere along the back line but is as comfortable driving forward and can play in the middle or even upfront where her strong right foot can deliver a fierce shot.

A fantastic training session last night as we get closer to pre-season.

It was great to welcome some new faces along (and some new but old ones!) as well as some of the u16s.
Sam put on a tough 45 minute fitness session for the ladies before we headed into session working on wall passes, throw in routines and duelling.

Trainer of the week went to Hannah who impressed on her return from injury that has kept her out of pre-season until now. Good to have her back!

NEW SIGNING!

We are very excited to have signed Josie to the Great Driffield Ladies for her first season in senior football.
We knew Josie from youth level and were keen to get her into the GDL now she has turned 16.
She may be small but she brings real pace and trickery and fears nothing winning duels against much bigger players and her past 2 years playing in the boys league have toughened her up!

She has already played in the blue and white for us scoring in her 7 a side debut as well as her 11 a side one! We know her skills will cause headaches for defences this season and we cannot wait to see what she can do!
