Unfortunately our start to the New Year has been snowed out. Coaching is inside but the Car Park and surrounds is just not safe so the Club has closed for today! We will hopefully get stuck in tomorrow again.

In the Mean time you could build a tennis snowman, or maybe a snow ghost as mine resembles. See you all on court soon 💪🏻

Happy New Year from me to everyone.

2025 was a great year in terms of seeing progressions! With consistency and good routines I’ve suddenly seen the club move forward into a really exciting space.

The Juniors are doing the fundamentals really well now and have a few playing county squads and winning matches at tournaments. In 2026 I wanna push for more match play and dedicate more time in finding different competition for us to enjoy and test ourselves. I’m quite excited to see what these juniors will achieve this year.

The adult section is a beautiful place to be. People are really friendly and putting in loads of time to practice skills and acquire new ones. All anyone needs to do is ask and there is always a game to be had. I’m blessed to be at a club with such a great atmosphere. I can’t ask for more in 2026 as everyone really tries their best and I appreciate it all so much.

So here’s to another year of pumping aces and slapping big forehands. Let’s go!!!

Jacks been doing so well lately. He’s practicing hard, great attitude on and off the court and is improving all the time. Working on his footwork and consistency at the moment. Great Work Jack man.

From last year we’ve had a lot more juniors competing in tournaments. Nothing makes me happier than kids wanting to get out there and compete.

This past weekend Will played his first u18 Grade 6 tournament and came away as the winner. Very happy for him and for all the work he puts in.

We’ve had a great year at Draycott tennis reaching a record 103 Junior members at one point, we have a few players in county training now and competing in tournaments. We will be making our own club ladder league for juniors next year as well as a tournament Calendar. Looking forward to a big 2025. A very Merry Christmas from me to you all.
