THANK YOU, EAMONN

We want to say a farewell to our Head Coach, Eamonn, as he steps down.

He has been part of our club since he was a child, growing up as a swimmer, making memories, learning, competing and developing his love for the sport.

He then gave his time, knowledge and passion as a coach which has been incredibly special. 🏊‍♂️

Over the years, Eamonn has supported and encouraged so many swimmers, helping them to develop not only in the pool but also in confidence, determination and belief in themselves.

From being a young swimmer in the club to becoming our Head Coach, Eamonn has been part of the Lecale story for so many years and his contribution will always be remembered.

There have been countless early mornings, late evenings, training sessions, competitions, successes, challenges, laughter and memories along the way. 💙

From everyone at Lecale ASC, thank you, Eamonn, for everything you have given to the club and to our swimmers.

You may be leaving your role as Head Coach, but you will always be part of the Lecale ASC family.

We wish you all the very best for the future.

Could your child be the next member of Lecale Amateur Swimming Club?

We’re excited to welcome new swimmers aged 6–16 to our upcoming swimming trials at Down Leisure Centre. If your child is confident in deep water and can swim 25m front crawl, breaststroke and back crawl, we’d love to meet them. Our experienced coaches are looking for good technique, enthusiasm and a willingness to learn—not just speed!

From making new friends to developing skills and competing at galas, Lecale ASC offers a fun and supportive environment where young swimmers can thrive.

🏊‍♂️ Irish Summer National Championships 2026 – Dublin 🇮🇪

What a week for our team at the Irish Summer National Championships in Dublin!

⭐ 7 swimmers represented the club with pride.
🔥 Countless personal bests achieved.
🏅 9 finals contested.

Every swimmer stepped up, raced with determination, and showed the hard work that’s gone into training all season. PBs, finals, and invaluable championship experience are all signs of the fantastic progress being made.

A huge congratulations to all our swimmers, and thank you to our coaches, parents, and supporters for being there every step of the way.

The big moment has finally arrived! As our team of seven heads to Dublin, the entire club wants to wish you the absolute best of luck.

It has been a long, grueling year of relentless training, early mornings, and pushing through the wall. You have given absolutely everything this season, and this week is your chance to let all that hard work shine.

From the explosive, pure-sprint speed of the 50m Freestyle, to the ultimate test of grit and endurance in the 1500m Freestyle and every stroke and distance in between—you are ready for this.

Trust your training, look after one another, and leave it all in the pool. You’ve earned your place on the blocks.
