The Emoya Ritual is not a programme. It has no end date.

A little note to let you know that Emoya Studio will be closed from 25 May, reopening on Monday 8 June.

I’m stepping away for two weeks with my family - to be present, to rest, and to do the thing I encourage you all to do: choose myself for a little while.

The mat will be here when we’re back. The schedule opens again on 8 June and I would love to see you in it.

Thank you for being such a genuinely warm and generous group of people to teach. It means more than you know.

Emoya grew from a deeply personal journey with chronic back pain, a decade of transformative Pilates practice, and an unshakeable belief that when we move, breathe and gather together, something quietly powerful happens.

Here you will find classical Pilates rooted in real experience, immersive days designed to nourish body and mind, and women's circles where stories are shared, voices are found and tribe is built. This is not just a studio. It is a space to breathe, move and belong. And it was made for you.

I have been teaching for over a decade, across countries and continents, on mats and reformers and in circles. But my most honest moments as a teacher are not the ones I plan. They are the ones I witness. A client who arrived in pain and leaves standing taller. A woman who came for her body and found something quieter and deeper waiting for her too.

That is why Emoya exists. That is why I keep showing up.

This is a Low Folding Mat. Designed by Joseph Pilates himself. Original equipment, part of a complete system - and it lives right here at Emoya.

Pilates was never just a reformer. It was designed as a full system of equipment - the mat, the reformer, the Cadillac, the chair, the barrels. Each piece with its own purpose, its own intelligence, its own contribution to how the body moves.
The Low Folding Mat brings that original intention back. Close to the floor, close to the body, deeply precise. It is where classical Pilates began and it is where we return to again and again.
Every class at Emoya is rooted in that system. The mat is not the beginning and the reformer is not the pinnacle. They are part of the same conversation.

Some days are made for giving back.
Today, a group of hardworking women stepped away from everything they carry and gave themselves a few hours to breathe, move and just be.
We moved together on the mat, slowed the nervous system down, and then sat with hibiscus and ginger iced tea and date protein bites - the kind of morning that reminds you what it feels like to be looked after.
This is what Emoya is for.
Not just classes. Not just fitness. But creating space where women can arrive exactly as they are, and leave feeling more themselves.

There is a season for everything.
For a while now, I have been holding more than felt sustainable - building Emoya, showing up fully for my clients, and at the same time trying to be as present as I want to be for my two little ones and the people who matter most to me at home. My husband, my mom, my children - they are my roots. They are the reason I do any of this.
So I have made the quiet, loving decision to step back from my Friday classes at the two external venues. It was not a decision I took lightly, but it was one made from a full heart rather than a fractured one.
Women who run their own businesses know this particular tension well. The world tells us to keep scaling, keep adding, keep growing and sometimes the bravest, most honest thing we can do is choose to be still. To come home. To be present with the small hands that reach for ours.

I could not have held this decision with such peace without the most extraordinary clients. You have championed me, shown up with such warmth, and reminded me - again and again - why this community is worth everything. Thank you. Genuinely, from the ground up.

Something is opening at Emoya.
You may have noticed a new name, a quieter presence, a slight shift in how things feel here. That is intentional.
Emoya has always been about more than movement. It is about showing up. Being held. Finding your way back to yourself - whether that is on the mat, in circle, or on an immersive day together.

The women’s circle facilitator training I completed with Gemma Brady of Sister Stories was one of the most quietly transformative things I have ever done. And it is finding its home here alongside the movement, alongside the mat, alongside the tribe that has been gathering here all along.
