Huge congratulations to Stephen Morris, winner of the newcomer division of the Topsy Sumption "one ball" competition. Stephen is pictured here receiving his trophy 🏆 from last year's newcomer champ Christine Churchill, who casually claimed the title in the draw for established players this year, no pressure Stephen!!

Christine Churchill continued her fantastic season by retaining her crown as the Topsy Sumption "One Ball", champion! Christine won the side of the drawn for more experienced players. The tournament is a fun day, played in a spirit befitting for its namesake.

Just the best news!!!
We are CHAMPIONS!!! 🏆 🥇 🏅
Today our team of 4 travelled to Swindon to take on Enfield CC in the final of the Golf Croquet, handicap, Federations Shield, and came away as 2022 champions, winning 6-1!!!
Our thanks go to Keith (C), Barbara, Andrew, and Richard for representing the club so well.
The team also wanted the thank both their opponents for their graciousness in defeat and Swindon Croquet Club for being such superb hosts. 🔵🔴⚫️🟡

We've only gone and done it!!!
Federation Shield finalsits at the first time of asking, thanks to a 4-3 victory over Southport.

Good luck to our Federation Shield team today in their semi final against Southport. Its bing played at a neutral Club in Edgbaston, so the cheerleaders won't be there in person, but they'll be rooting for you in spirt🔵🔴⚫️🟡

The ladies take the bragging rights in the Mollie Blowers (ladies v gents) completion. Despite the men pulling level at the mid way point, after the ladies took an early lead, the ladies team spirit proved too much for the lacklustre gents as they finished strongly and ran out 12-8 victors.

Congratulations ladies, those smiles say it all!!

Dowlish Wake A entertained local rivals Taunton Deane on warm sunny day at Dowlish.
The team comprising Keith Bryant (Captain), Anthea Carter, Sue Bent, Barbara Dean and Steve March got off to good start winning 3 of the 4 doubles matches while the opposition grappled with the challenges of our courts.
At the half way stage we were 8 - 2 up at which time we were treated to a well earned lunch by our new catering team of Sylvie and David Bellenger, and very good it was too.
In the afternoon matches we continued to have the upper hand running out 13 - 7 winners. A good all round performance with each player making valuable winning contributions.
