Fantastic start to the new season,a full green for the Captain versus the President game and Bob was very happy that the Captains team won. The green is in great shape thanks to Arthur , Bob and helpers, the clubhouse is in good shape thanks to Doug and his volunteers. Good luck to all of the bowling fraternity for the season.

I have just recieved the sad news that our friend Arthur Hockley has passed away. Arthur has always been a great supporter of Buckland Mill and of all bowls, being President of Kent and the E.B.A.When in 1982 four of us won our county badge and even though Betteshanger had a rink playing at the same time the Betteshanger boys were on the end of our rink celebrating with us led by Arthur.Arthur was always a real gentleman a great adversary on the green but a mate after.
