I am Michelle, a certified and fully insured Level 3 Mat Pilates Instructor, based in Dover, Kent. I offer Group Community Classes and Private 1:1 sessions. I became inspired to practice and teach Pilates as a result of my own struggles with neck and back pain caused by occupational injury. Pilates has been a remarkable healing journey for me, so I understand how valuable it can be to anyone who s

uffers with persistent pain or discomfort. My passion is to help make a positive difference in your life, and inspire you to discover the amazing things your body can achieve, no matter where you are currently at in your fitness journey. Beyond that, it’s how it can make you feel emotionally too. I want you to finish my class feeling energised and with a calmer mind.

Important Update 💜

Due to some unexpected personal circumstances, I’ll be taking a temporary break from teaching Pilates classes for approximately the next six weeks.

All classes and online bookings are currently paused during this time. If you already had classes booked, you should have received an email from me with further information.

Hi everyone, just a quick heads-up 😊

I’ll be away on holiday from 1st to 13th May (inclusive), so there will be no classes running during this time.

If you’re booking a Block of 4, please bear in mind they have a 6-week expiry, so please plan your sessions around the break to make sure you don’t lose any.

🧘‍♀️Mat Pilates "New Routine" starts this week!

Every few months I refresh our Align|Balance |Core routine to keep the body progressing and the classes interesting. This new sequence focuses on strengthening the waistline, glutes and upper arms while building stability through the spine.

We’ll be introducing The Teaser preparation work in this routine to challenge the core and improve control through the centre. I’ve pinned a short video to the top of the page showing The Teaser exercise if you’d like a little preview of one of the movements we’ll be exploring.

We’ll be using resistance bands in parts of the class. If you have a favourite band, feel free to bring it along. If not, don’t worry, I always carry a few spares.

💫New Pilates Class starting 12th Feb 2026! Whitfield Village Hall

The Pilates Ring is a magic bit of kit for switching on the core and muscle groups without any joint strain. It gives you instant feedback when you press the ring, feeling exactly which muscles are activating. It’s effective for improving posture, mobility, balance, and core strength, while keeping movements controlled and joint-friendly.

I’ll provide the rings (or bring your own) just bring a mat and small towel.

(NOTE: Magic Circle features in my Monday Mat class too; Thursday is a Magic Circle only class and doesn’t include the closing guided meditation.)

🎉We’re kicking off 2026 with a fresh Align | Balance | Core Mat routine from tomorrow. Same focus on moving well.

This one has been carefully put together to move the spine in all planes of movement, strengthen hips, glutes, back body, core, improve balance and control and ease tight hip flexors (a big one for many of us).

It’s steady, purposeful work, built around clear movement patterns that support strength, balance and everyday function.

I haven’t done my usual preview video this time. I’ve taken a proper break over Christmas to rest, reset and spend time with family and friends, and I’m coming back refreshed and ready to teach.

You’ll be guided through a thoughtful, supportive class that meets you where you are and offers options to progress.

Christmas Class Schedule 🎄

Here are the Christmas dates for Pilates:

💜Last class before Christmas is Saturday 20th December
💜Classes resume on Saturday 27th December
💜 New Year we are back on 2nd January

If you’re using a block package, please keep these dates in mind so you can fit your sessions in before the break.

Looking forward to seeing you in class as we head towards the end of the year.
