🥊 Great night of inter-club sparring at Fightin'fit ABC-Dover

The gym was absolutely packed with 31 boxers from 5 clubs. Sparring was non-stop all evening and if the boxers weren't in the ring, they were working and tap sparring outside of it.

Big thanks to Bimms Boxing G.O.A.T Chigwell, Folkestone Amateur Boxing Club and Rob Rox Boxing for making it a top night

Loads of learning and development for all the boxers involved.

Unfortunately, we never managed to get any pictures of the younger boxers in the smaller ring as things were so busy throughout the night!

🥊 The boys are in the paper this week! 🥊

A few too many Z's in Will's surname, but apart from that it's a great article highlighting Dover's longest-running boxing club and the fantastic achievements of our young boxers.

Both Will Gazzard and Jack Barr are now London ABA Champions 2026, with Will becoming Dover's youngest-ever London ABA Champion. 🏆

A big well done to everyone involved and thank you for the continued support from our community. 👊

IT WAS an out­stand­ing week­end for Fightin’fit ABC-Dover at the Lon­don ABA Belt Tour­na­ment 2026. The club returned home with two Lon­don ABA junior cham­pi­ons after com­pet­ing against some of the strongest ama­teur box­ing clubs in the coun­try.

Calling all boxing fans, coaches, boxers , and lovers of sporting history!

On Monday 6th July at 5pm, the Astor Theatre, Deal will host Gawain Douglas, the great-grandson of the 9th Marquess of Queensberry, whose name became forever linked to the famous Queensberry Rules that helped shape modern boxing.

📖 The Story of Prize Fighting will take audiences on a fascinating journey through boxing history, featuring:

✅ Famous fights and legendary fighters
✅ Old-school training methods
✅ Rare Queensberry family boxing artefacts
✅ Stories, humour, and unique insights from boxing's past
✅ Reflections on modern boxing and the rise of women's boxing

This promises to be a brilliant evening for anyone with an interest in boxing history, from the bare-knuckle era right through to the modern sport we know today.

🥊 What a brilliant weekend of amateur boxing for Fightin'fit ABC-Dover 🥊

The London ABA Belt Tournament 2026 has been a huge success for our team.

🏆 Will Gazzard won his semi-final and then went on to become the London ABA Belt Champion 2026 in the Final, taking two solid unanimous decision victories and moving his record to 5-0.

🏆 Jack Barr also won his semi-final and then became the London ABA Belt Champion 2026 in today’s finals, securing two unanimous decision victories over the weekend and moving his record to 10-2.

🥊 Declan Ferris won his semi-final by unanimous decision and then narrowly lost in the final on a close majority decision. One of the judges had Declan winning the bout. He faced a strong opponent and put in two solid performances over the weekend.

🥊 Adam Skinner was a straight final but unfortunately beaten by a home boxer, but it was great to see Adam back in the ring after a year out. He'll come back stronger from the experience.

Most importantly, there wasn't a single embarrassing performance all weekend. Every boxer gave everything they had, listened to instructions, and represented the club brilliantly. I couldn't be prouder of the team.

🥊 Alli King and Chanisse Jenner will now box for their London ABA Belts in September. Chanisse's opponent withdrew the day before the tournament, while Alli's opponent failed to make weight for the final. We're confident and excited about the rest of the season ahead.

Well done to everyone involved – boxers, coaches, officials, and supporters. Onwards and upwards! 👊
