2:30–5:30 at Boughton Village Hall — no need to book, just turn up and enjoy a great mix of Modern Jive, Ballroom & Latin.

Plenty of tea, coffee, and of course those all-important homemade cakes 🍰 plus a lovely chance to catch up with friends.

💃 Ever thought about dancing… but never quite taken the first step? 🕺

If you’ve been tempted, curious, or just thinking “maybe one day”, this is the perfect chance to give it a go.

We’ll be at the Come & Try a New Hobby Day at Dover Town Hall 10 - 4pm Saturday 17th January and we’re running a free, quick, fun taster lesson at 3:10pm.

❓❓ What’s happening?

👍A short, relaxed introductory lesson (no experience needed at all)
👍Chance to meet the team, say hi, and have a chat
👍Watch others dancing and see what it’s all about
👍Absolutely no pressure – just come along and enjoy the atmosphere

You don’t need a partner, special clothes, or any previous dance experience. Just bring yourself and a bit of curiosity. We’re a friendly bunch, and we love welcoming people who’ve never danced before.

🏛️ The event runs all day, with lots of other groups and activities to explore too – so make a day of it!

If dancing has ever crossed your mind, this is your sign 😊

📣 Next Saturday – Come & Say Hello! 💃🕺
Next Saturday 17th January we’ll be at Dover Town Hall (or The Maison Dieu as its now referred to as!) for the New Year, New Hobbies event, and we’d love to see some friendly faces!
🕙 All day: 10:00am – 4:00pm
I’ll be there throughout the day handing out leaflets, chatting about what we do, and generally flying the flag for Modern Jive – so if you’re popping in, please do come and say hello 👋
🕒 Demonstration slot: 3:10pm – 4:00pm
We’re sharing this time with the Ballroom & Sequence dancers, and we’re planning a quick fun lesson or demonstration depending on who’s there, we’ll either:
• Do a few short, Modern Jive dances, or
• Get people involved with a quick, easy taster lesson if there are non-dancers watching & willing to take part.
So if you’re free between 3:10 and 4pm, it would be great to see you if you want to come along, take part or just say hello!! 😊
There will also be lots of other local groups there throughout the day, all demonstrating what they do – so do pop in and take a look .
