Funeral announcement - Iain McGregor

Peacefully at Strathcarron Hospice on 1st May 2026. Iain (P.C.), aged 57 years of Doune. Dearly loved husband of Tracey, adored dad to Lucy, a much loved son, brother, uncle and a great friend to many who will be sadly missed. A Celebration of Iain’s life will be held at Stirlingshire Crematorium on Monday 18th May at 11.30am, to which all family and friends are respectfully invited. No flowers please, donations if desired to Strathcarron Hospice.

Exciting update for the women and girls in our area! Thanks to an incredible surge in female players this season, we are thrilled to announce the official formation of a W&G Team!

Our practice sessions will be held on Tuesdays, while we also offer the flexibility for girls to attend mixed practice on Wednesdays if they prefer.

Join us in experiencing one of the fastest-growing sports for females worldwide! Come and be a part of this incredible journey!

No previous cricket experience or knowledge necessary.

This afternoon we were due to play a game in memory of our friend and team mate John Robertson who sadly passed two years ago.

Unfortunately the rain meant we couldnt play but we all still gathered for some lovely food & drinks and raised a toast to him.

Thanks to everyone who came along.

We had a great day at the gala.
What an amazing event and a huge thank you to the organisers they did a fantastic job.
All the stalls, music, choirs were excellent.

Thanks to everyone who donated prizes and came to visit our stall. Congrats to heather who won the safari park pass and david who won the voucher for the indian gate in dunblane.

We will be at the grazings in doune tomorrow 9.30 for the kids slam and from 12 for the club game for anyone who would like to join us.

Looking forward to seeing everyone at doune gala day tomorrow
