Doune Primary Parent Council This is the Page for the Parent Council of Doune Primary School Hi and welcome to the new page of the Doune Primary Parent Council.

We are a group of enthusiastic like minded parents and carers who try to contribute to school life for the benefit of it's pupils. We are active in the organisation and execution of various events and activities that bring children aand families together, fundraising for various school projects and all the time getting a great insight into the running of the school. Why not get involved, or show your support by liking us to receive updates of what's going on.

The Parent Council are starting to think about events, fundraising and grant applications for school. We’d love to hear if anyone has any events or fundraising ideas that we could do over the next school year. In the past we’ve organised discos, Halloween parties, Christmas Fayres, gin-tasting evenings, a car boot sale etc. Any new ideas from parents or kids would be greatly appreciated.

We’d also love to hear from parents, carers and grandparents who would like to be involved and help out with occasional activities and fundraising.

PLEASE READ WHOLE POST
A huge THANK YOU to the group of volunteers from the RED LION group. They kindly donated their time here to clearing up our school grounds. I think everyone will agree it has made a huge difference and the kids will love it when they return.
HELP NEEDED
We would ask if anyone local is able to dispose of the garden waste to go grab what they can from the grounds.

We are back in the token running in Dunblane Tesco -

Climbing is loved by almost all pupils. Our wall has been condemned
and we need to build a new one. Help us achieve our goal.

It would be great to achieve a new wall as the kids are really missing theirs.

Thank you to parents for all your fundraising support. This has enabled the Parent Council to provide several key resources for the school:

• 4 additional tablet devices- total £1252
• Maths Resource boxes at £50 each for P4-7 classes - total cost £200
• £200 to fund resources for STEM week
