Longfleet Lionesses edged a high‑scoring encounter as they overcame a determined Cobham FC Women side in an eight‑goal thriller.

The hosts showed their attacking sharpness throughout, capitalising on key moments to build a lead that Cobham worked tirelessly to chase down. Despite the pressure, Cobham produced three well‑taken goals of their own, demonstrating real resilience and quality in the final third.

Cobham’s goals came from Emily C, Shelly S, and Molly G, each finding a way through the Longfleet defence to keep their side in the contest.

While Cobham continued to push and create chances, Longfleet’s clinical finishing ultimately proved the difference as they secured all three points

Weymouth FC Development Ladies delivered a statement performance as they swept aside Poole Borough Ladies with a commanding 5–0 victory — a result that secures them the runners‑up position in the Dorset Women’s Recreational League.

Weymouth was sharp, disciplined and ruthless in front of the goal from the outset. Coral S was the standout performer, producing a superb hat‑trick that showcased her movement, composure and finishing quality.

She was supported brilliantly by Laura S and Ellia W, who each added a goal to round off a dominant attacking display.

Poole Borough worked hard throughout and continued to compete, but Weymouth’s tempo, organisation and clinical edge proved decisive as they controlled the match from start to finish.

The final whistle confirmed not only an emphatic win, but also a well‑earned second‑place finish for Weymouth — a testament to their consistency and growth across the season.

Poole Borough Ladies produced an impressive performance to secure a 4–1 home win over Swanage Town & Herston Women, showing sharp attacking play and real control throughout the match.
Borough’s forward line was in strong form once again, with Leanne L continuing her excellent season by scoring twice. Matilda B added another well-taken goal, while Sarah P also found the net to round off a confident team display.
Swanage battled and managed to pull one back, but Poole Borough’s intensity and finishing quality ensured they stayed firmly in charge from early on.

Weymouth continued their strong recent form with a convincing 4–1 away win over Ridgeway Ladies Development. The visitors showed greater sharpness in the final third, capitalising on their chances and maintaining control for long spells of the match.
Ridgeway battled throughout and found a deserved consolation through Annaleah W, who finished well to get her side on the scoresheet. Despite periods of determined play, Ridgeway couldn’t contain Weymouth’s attacking pressure, with the visitors pulling away to secure all three points.

Some Nerves to start going a goal down early. Poppies then settled to go 3-1 up. Again, sloppy play just before half time makes it 3-2. A miss from the penalty spot from Danni who follows up to put the rebound away makes it 4-2. Seeing the game out. To finish the season level on points only losing on goal difference Poppies Women should be commended. Liv B scoring a brace, Rebecca Y scoring 1, Danni W scoring 1.

Ridgeway travelled to Cobham Sports Women with the pressure firmly on their shoulders — and delivered a statement performance worthy of champions.
From the outset Ridgeway were ruthless, clinical, and completely focused on the task. Chloe O once again proved unstoppable, firing in a superb hat-trick to set the tone. Harriet F added two of her own, continuing her excellent form, while Laura C and Abie T each struck to complete the seven-goal haul.
Cobham’s consolation came from the penalty spot, confidently converted by Sianel W, but Ridgeway’s dominance was never in doubt.

🏆FINAL OUTCOME
Ridgeway Ladies’ commanding 7–1 victory ensured they finished the season top of the table and were fully deserving of the title. Bournemouth Poppies pushed them all the way, but Ridgeway’s firepower and consistency across the campaign proved decisive.
A dramatic final day, two committed performances, and a title race that went right to the wire — exactly what a league hopes for. Congratulations to Ridgeway.

Yesterday’s Dorset women’s division one title race came down to the very last match of the season.

Both and entered the final day with almost identical records. Ridgeway had the advantage with a superior goal difference.

It was a testament to the two teams that they both won their final matches with Ridgeway taking the title on goal difference.

Congratulations to all at Ridgeway Ladies FC as champions of Dorset women’s division one.

Congratulations to Bournemouth Poppies Women for an excellent season.
