A huge thank you to the greenkeepers across the Highlands whose hard work, skill and dedication keep our courses in great shape whatever the Scottish weather throws at them.

Ross Naismith is the 2026 Golf Highland Champion of Champions!

More than 30 golfers came together at the Kings Golf Club, Inverness yesterday, with Brora Golf Club’s Ross taking home the Willie MacKay Cup after a superb gross 71.

Home club member Will Macrae claimed the Stableford title with 36 points — and there was a £400 boost for Highland Hospice thanks to the tournament raffle and sweepstake.

A big thank you to everyone who played, supported the event and helped make it such an enjoyable day.

Nearly 50 golfers from 24 Highland clubs will tee it up at Kings Golf Club, in Inverness on Sunday for the rearranged Champion of Champions.

The event was washed out by torrential rain earlier this year, but it’s finally game on! Golfers will battle for the Willie MacKay Cup, with fundraising on the day supporting Highland Hospice.

Looking for a Highland golf escape with a difference? Gairloch and Ullapool are a great west coast pairing.

Start with a round at Gairloch Golf Club, where sea and mountain views come as part of the experience. Then head north to Ullapool golf course for another beautiful coastal setting overlooking Loch Broom. Two very different courses, but both packed with Highland character.

And once the clubs are back in the car, it’s time to explore the local wh**ky scene. Near Gairloch, Badachro Distillery is well worth a visit for tours, tastings and its emerging single malt.

In Ullapool, Rhidorroch Distillery offers another chance to sample local spirits, with a waterfront bar and eatery.
