Betchworth Park Golf Club nestles under the North Downs overlooked by the legendary Box Hill beauty spot. Founded in 1911 and laid out by the distinguished golf course architect Harry S.Colt, this parkland course offers 18 holes of delightful but challenging golf to its members and visitors alike. Betchworth Park is a members club, run by the members for their benefit and visitors. The club also r

uns a very popular and successful academy for new golfers, or those returning to the game after an absence. Societies and visitors are very welcome, with a variety of packages available. In 2012, the club will host the England Golf Ladies Southern region Championship and also the Men's Surrey County Seniors Championship. Last cut of the 11th green, before it opens up today.

Great job from the greenkeeping team in lift shaping and re-laying the green in time for the playing season.

Looking forward to having more usable areas of the green and giving all players the full challenge of the hole

Testing of the bio char is underway.

We're testing the use of bio char as an organic fertiliser in certain areas of the course. Currently on one tee box and mixed in with the new top soil on the 3rd path.

Pictures of the results to follow. Now just need some sunshine.

Very excited about how this will make the club more sustainable and bio diverse along with the future projects in the pipeline.

The wait is almost over! Our 11th green rebuild is nearing completion, with the greens team giving it a spring cut today. We’ll be reopening in 3-4 weeks, perfect timing for the major competitions. It’s been a long wait since October, but we’re ready to get back out and play.

Lightning really has struck twice at Betchworth Park! ⚡⛳️

Over the past two days we’ve had two incredible Hole-in-Ones on the same hole — the 8th, playing 182 yards.

Day 1: Alan Long stepped up and produced a moment every golfer dreams of, hitting a perfectly judged knocked-down 3 wood that rolled straight into the cup. 🎯

Day 2: The story gets even better. John Woods arrived at the 8th with Alan Long in his group, who had been talking him through the exact shot from the day before. Taking the advice on board, John stepped up, hit the same knocked-down 3 wood… and watched it disappear straight into the hole!

Two days.

Two aces.

Same hole.

Same club.

Same advice. 🤯

Congratulations to Alan Long and John Woods on two unforgettable moments at Betchworth Park! 👏

At that concludes the 2025 Bring & Take Christmas event. The scoring was exceptional with 36pts barely making the top 20! Thank you to all 96 participants, another successful event. Huge congratulations to our winners Candee Cooper & Richard Cooper who scored 45pts. 2nd place was Rafael Imber and Jovana Imber with a respectable 43pts.
