I was saddened to hear of the passing of one of my heroes on 22nd May.

David Wilkie MBE was a Scottish swimmer who was the Olympic 200m breaststroke champion in 1976, the first British swimmer to win an Olympic gold medal since 1960. He is the only person to have held British, Commonwealth, European, World and Olympic swimming titles at the same time.

An absolute inspiration to me and to many swimmers of my generation. A sad loss for the sport.

When Josh first contacted me, he had spent very little time in the pool and had not had any swimming lessons. He was eager to increase his confidence in the water prior to going on holiday.

He's doing amazingly well after just a few sessions and he's so proud of his progress so far.
