Providing a friendly welcome to members and visiting players all year round, Came Down is an attractive downland golf course offering stunning views across Dorchester, the coastal resort of Weymouth and West Dorset. We take pride on being inclusive for all. Membership benefits and pricing along with tee bookings and visitor information can be found on our website. Came Down is much more than just a golf course, we have recently completed renovations to our clubhouse, bar and restaurant, changing rooms and outdoor seating area – which offers picturesque views sweeping across West Dorset and beyond. We also take great pride in hosting competitions and social events throughout each season.

Our annual Course Maintenance Week is just around the corner.

During the week, our greenkeeping team will be carrying out essential work to keep our greens, tees and aprons in the best possible condition for the months ahead.

This includes aerating the greens, overseeding and top dressing - helping to improve drainage, reduce compaction, encourage healthier turf and create smoother, stronger playing surfaces.

While there may be some temporary disruption, this vital work plays a huge part in maintaining the excellent course conditions that members and visitors enjoy throughout the year.

⛳ Please note:
• Online BRS bookings will be unavailable during the maintenance period
• A roll-up system (first come, first served) will operate on either the front or back nine, depending on the day's work
• Please check Club V1 and the Course Information Board for daily updates

⛳️ Another Hole in One to report… and it's the 10th again 🎯

There really must be something in the water at Came Down! 😊

Huge congratulations to Pete Entwistle, who aced the 10th hole today with a 9 iron. 👏⛳

⛳🏆 Came Down Junior Club Championship 2026 🏆⛳

Wednesday saw 15 of our talented young golfers take to the course for the 2026 Junior Club Championship – and they certainly had some challenging conditions to contend with!

After weeks of dry, sunny weather, dark clouds rolled in just before tee-off, bringing a shower and strengthening winds. Despite this, our juniors rose to the challenge and produced some fantastic golf 👏

🏌️ Best Gross
There was nothing to separate Cam Rutland and Ben Sugg, who both shot an impressive 74. Cam took the prize on countback thanks to the better back nine.

🏆 Junior Club Champion – Louie Thompson
Louie returned a brilliant 40 points, including an outstanding 24 points on the back nine despite the strong winds, to take the trophy!

With four players tied on 36 points, countback was needed to decide the remaining places:

🥈 2nd – Sam Diaz
🥉 3rd – Jason Emerton
👏 4th – Ben Sugg
👏 5th – Jace Crutwell

A huge congratulations to Louie, Cam and all 15 juniors who took part. It was another fantastic display of the young golfing talent we have here at Came Down.

Our Junior Section continues to go from strength to strength, with events and opportunities to play throughout the year.

⛳ Another Albatross on the 17th - what a summer it's been for holes in one at Came Down ⛳

Huge congratulations to Al Sandels, who has recorded a hole in one on our Par 4 17th – making it an incredibly rare albatross. 👏👏👏👏

Even more remarkably, this is now the third hole in one on the 17th this summer! Three albatrosses on the same hole in one summer has to be a pretty special occurrence at any golf club.

Congratulations, Al – another fantastic addition to an extraordinary summer of golf at Came Down!
