๐ฃ๐ข๐จ๐ก๐๐๐จ๐ฅ๐ฌ ๐๐ ๐ ๐๐ก๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ก๐ง ๐ง๐๐๐ :
๐พ๐๐ก๐ก๐ช๐ข, thankfully, has stayed firmly in the Wenger coat on the sideline this season and managed to avoid wearing a purple shirt. And judging by the fact we moved up a place in the table compared to last seasonโฆ it was probably the right decision.
But in all seriousness, Callumโs been a massive part of keeping standards high this season and someone James trusts massively. And despite Southampton somehow ending up at Wembley twice this year - which shocked everyone - heโs still managed to keep his focus firmly on Poundbury too.
And ๐๐๐ฉโฆ well, usually you hear Kit before you see him. Iโm pretty sure James originally hired him purely as his personal megaphone to shout at players from the sideline, but it turns out heโs actually pretty handy with warm-ups, game prep and everything in between. And in true Poundbury fashion, Kit stepped up in a time of need and even put a shirt on for the last game of the season - which honestly made us all question why we ever needed Moggy in the first place.
And finallyโฆ ๐ฟ๐ง๐๐ซ๐๐ง. Anyone who knows James knows he has huge aspirations for this club since way before it even formed as a club 3 season ago. The Reserves side next season is only the start. Itโs really easy for everyone to turn up every week, and watch 22 men kick a football around and assume everything just magically fell into place. But what goes on behind the scenes is a huge amount of stress, time, dedication and financial contribution as well. James is always working behind the scenes with secret calls and meetings with the goal to become a full-scale football club one day with youth sides, female squads, its own pitchesโฆ and most importantly, a fully kitted out clubhouse.
So although the awards evening is about all the players and everyone whoโs contributed this season, without them, there genuinely is no Poundbury FC.
So thank you Callum, thank you Kit, and thank you Driver. ๐ซก
